Three problems related to steering wheel have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Bolt which holds the steering shaft to another shaft in the steering column was improperly routed, causing a loss of steering control. Problem repaired at owner's expense.
The bolt on the steering shaft separated from one of the members, resulting in loss of control. Vehicle has been repaired. Manufacturer has been notified.
Horn would stick if turning steering wheel. The dealer states welds within the steering wheel had cracked and steering wheel was replaced, dealer repaired the problem.
