One problem related to front suspension control arm has been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer was traveling about 35 mph on the highway and ball joints broke off, causing wheels to collapse. Consumer veered off the road onto the shoulder. Another incident happened in mid may when the balljoints broke on the opposite wheels.
