One problem related to seat belt has been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driver's side seatbelt gave way, allowing the buckle end of the seatbelt to come out about another foot, which threw the driver from the vehicle. Vehicle was totaled in a crash.
