The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet S10. While driving 35 mph, the contact heard an abnormal ticking noise and the entire instrument cluster failed. Due to the failure, the contact received a ticket because of the unknown speed limit and was speeding 20 mph over the speed limit. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted or made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was over 100,000.

2 Dashboard Failed problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2010

The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet S10. The contact stated that the instrument cluster failed and the gauges gave inaccurate readings; the gauges also shut off and back on without warning. The contact called the dealer who stated that there were no related recalls. The manufacturer offered no assistance when contacted. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired. The current mileage was approximately 24,000 and the failure mileage was approximately 23,000.
