Twice now while lightly applying brakes to come to a stop at an intersection the antilock brake system engaged. Since it was unexpected I almost didn't come to a stop in time before rolling into the intersection into traffic. The abs warning indicator was illuminated intermittently before this with recorded dtc c0268 (pump motor circuit shorted). Also the transfer case input shaft seal failed which caused transmission fluid to leak into the transfer case, completely filling it. That caused the transfer case vacuum switch to fail and transmission fluid was sucked into the vacuum lines and eat through them causing a vacuum leak. Because of the vacuum leak, whenever I would accelerate to highway speeds and the engine would use what vacuum it could, the 4wd actuator would lose its vacuum then regain it when the rpm's dropped and try to lock the front axle while at highway speeds which would cause the truck to jerk and the gears to grind. And lastly the airbag warning indicator is always illuminated for reasons I do not know.

Dmv las vegas has salvaged my truck in California. My truck was bought 3 plus years ago. I have a clean title. Nevada has refused to retag my truck and said it was unsafe to drive. The truth is they id theft me and made the error on my truck that is in great shape it drives and handles great. I have changed several parts. This is just maintence and I have insppected it and find it to be fraud per certian people in dmv but the error is in one persons hands to block me from driving it. My friends wonder how much more I can take from all the fraud I have dealth with and now its my truck.

Passenger side rear wheel does not line up with front wheel. Passenger side rear wheel is inward approximately 1 to 2 inches. Drivers side rear wheel line up perfectly with the front drivers side wheel looking from front to back and vice versa. I was informed that this problem could be corrected by installing an adjustable panhard bar if I could find one to fit.
Idles rough in neutral, rpm jumps from 1,000 runs high and keeps going to 7,000 rpm I shut it off cause it would stay at 6,000 rpm. . Then shut down it's self and not want start up again I've replace a lot of parts but this is also my 5th motor in this truck. . .
Pulling away from a stop light, an a metallic clank was audible. Looking back the spare tire lay on the road. Returning to the spare tire, it the keeper and the end of cable were recovered. The cable had broken at the cable stop resulting in a single part failure incident. Had this incident occurred shortly before this as I drove to this location on the freeway, serious injury or fatalities were probable. This tire hoist mechanism was only raised into place with by qualified personnel.
Upon personal inspection of my vehicle I discovered my spare tire was missing and the cable had snapped due to cable fraying or corrosion. The exact time and speed of this failure is unknown but the danger could be potentially hazardous for the following reasons¦ a: the tire could pose a hazard to traffic behind the vehicle. B: the tire could roll into lanes of traffic or pedestrians. C: the tire could fall at such an angle to lift and deflect the rear end of the vehicle causing damage and unexpected loss of control. D: the operator could find themselves stranded without a spare tire.
Same as other complaints. Wipers stopped working during a rainstorm. Have changed the motor twice and recently started doing the same thing. Also both cables in the lid corroded and broke. Using some chains to hold until able to find and buy the cables. Will get the VIN number to see if it was ever part of a recall I wasn't aware of.

The problem usually appears in the summer, and rarely occurs during the winter. It started back in June of 2012, occurred several more times before the end of the year. Then starting in June of 2013, it began acting up an average of once a week until August. When it acts up, I will be driving, and the truck will buck a couple of times and the needle on the tach will jump up and down, and usually some of the warning lights will flash on and off and the doors try to unlock. It basically acts like the ignition is trying to shut off but gets flicked back into the on position. It will usually have a couple of episodes where it will do this for a few seconds and then run fine for a little while. When it does this, I usually have enough time to pull off to the side of the road to shut it off and let it sit for a while, but there have been several times where it dies immediately. When it dies, I have to leave it in neutral and try to coast until I can pull off onto the shoulder. If I try to restart it while in neutral, the steering column locks, which could cause me to veer off the road, and when the truck is off, the airbags won't deploy. I have taken it to 6 mechanics, and none of them have been able to find the problem. I have heard of other s-10 owners having the same trouble, and in light of the recently uncovered issues with gm ignition switches, I thought I should report my issue.

I never received safety recall# 06020 galvanized defective tailgate cables that snap/break due to corrosion inside the cable causing the tailgate to fall down while opened. Both my cables have been torn/broken caused by the rust thru for quit some time. My son told me recently, that he had received the recall notice a number of years ago and the chevy dealer replaced his cables; his s-10 cables are good/solid no problems. I am meticulous with records and surely would have told the dealer and had them replaced during the recall period. What should I do as I never received the recall notice at issue?.

Engine service soon light comes been checked said number 6 injector bad truck only has 67000 miles on it. Also rear u joint went out and dealer had none in stock had to back order joint can clean codes and engine runs fine of a few days then strats missing again.
Consumer has problem with the tailgate cord fraying, consumer had it repaired at chevolet at his own expensie, there has been a recall on the large trucks, consumer owns smaller truck and has same problem.
While driving, the nut holding the trailer hitch ball came off, allowing the u-haul trailer to move forward and cause minor damage to the rear bumper and tailgate of the truck, consumer had purchased the ball from u-haul and they installed it. (ohio traffic crash report).
Had 3rd door handle replaced twice and it's since broken again. Will not pay to have it replaced again. All knobs for both driver and passenger seats have broken b/c they are made of cheap plastic. Dealer joked saying everyone who has bought this vehicle has had 3rd door handle replaced. Had driver door hinges replaced and they need replaced again, but will not put anymore money into it. Break system is awful. Finally had to remove fuse for the abs system b/c the brakes would depress all the way to the floorboards and not grab. Have had fuel pump replaced twice. Very costly repairs and as a result will never buy another gm product again.
1. Door speakers stopped working. Still do not work. 2. Brake lights stopped working (fuse keeps blowing). Unknown cause, possibly living on a rough dirt road. Still do not work.

The spare tire which was mounted onto the vehicle by a cable unexpectedly broke and caused the spare tire to fall to the ground while the vehicle was in motion. Dealer had been contacted. There was no accident or injuries associated with this incident.
