2000 chevy s-10 left front wheel separated from vehicle. The tire struck the fender as it came off. The vehicle slid to a stop on it's undercarriage/suspension. The wheels had been put on the vehicle two days prior to this accident and had only been driven about 60 miles. Only one lug nut was found.

Four studs on rear left tire came off, almost lost control of vehicle.

Lugs: bolts!!! two (2) lug bolts broke off. Lost part of bolts and nuts. A third bolt and nut fell off when GMC dealer robert brogden auto plaza in olathe kansas was replacing all five (5) lug bolts on the right front. I have 15 more lug bolts on this car. When will they break? ron carter refused to replace the remaing bolts free of charge.

3 lugs: studs on right rear wheel sheared off under normal driving conditions.

Driving at 35mph the spare tire/wheel fell from the underside of the vehicle. The tire/wheel rolled across the road. No traffic.

I was pulling into a parking lot and 3 lugs: nuts: bolts fell off of my right front wheel. The dealer was informed of this and performed repairs on it. The dealer was also the one who performed the last tire rotation. I asked them if that could've caused the problem and they told me that they did not know. I aslo have a copy of a recall notice on the rims of this truck. I asked the dealer about this and they said they were not aware of any recalls on this vehicle. This could've happend when I was driving on the road and caused a serious accident luckily it didn't. . This bothers me because it could happen again, and I may not be so lucky next time. Please send me any information that you may have for me about this problem and any future information you receive on this vehicle.

Driving OH highway about 45mph and coming off a ramp, the wheel studs broke off, causing tire to come off. Contacted dealer and manufacturer.

The consumer has been experiencing problems with lugs: nuts. Vehicle kept making a thumping noise. When they took it to the manufacturer, they said that the problem was that the lug: nuts came loose. The consumer has had the lugs: nuts tightened 3 times. The manufacturer has been contacted.

While driving the 5 lugs:nuts broke off all at the same time, causing the wheel to fall off. Also, brake hub fell off. When the lugs:nuts broke, the truck rolled without any wheel for a couple of seconds which caused the wheel assembly to tear up.

Consumer states that 4 out of 5 lugs: nuts broke off from the back wheel. The dealer has fixed the lugs: nuts, and they are coming off again.
