Fuel Injection problems of the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado

Four problems related to fuel injection have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Fuel Injection problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2006

: the contact stated the fuel injector stuck in the closed position causing the engine to fail. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where problem was determined. The contact expressed concern that this is a defect and they don't want to pay the dealer to fix.

2 Fuel Injection problem

Failure Date: 04/21/2003

2000 Chevrolet Silverado my husband had an accident frontal side impact. The engine started on fire after impact.

3 Fuel Injection problem

My truck just stopped running, it started right back up, but what happened??? now at times it turns over alot before it starts and it rough idles! what is the problem??? I have heard that it is probably a fuel regulator--very expensive repair on alot of Silverados-- I think gm should replace these for free because there is alot of these with this same problem.

4 Fuel Injection problem

While driving at any time vehicle unexpectedly cuts off without prior warning, causing loss of all power. Also, vehicle cannot be restarted. Dealer has replaced fuel pump. Please provide any further details.
