Four problems related to underbody shield have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My spare tire off of the 2000 Silverado fell off the bottom bed and wound up 100 feet off the highway in the woods. The cable frayed on the attachment!.
Defective welds on frame.
Consumer states the rear frame broke, last year was fixed. Again, this year left rear vehicle cracked. Dealer notified, took pictures.
Vehicle bounced up and down on the road at high speeds. Consumer took vehicle to the dealer, where mechanic indicated that it was not the suspension.
