Two problems related to fuel hoses lines/piping and fittings have been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer states: the fuel return lines and fuel rails when they come apart the diesel and oil mix together and shoots out and coats the rear windshield. Also, coats the sides of the truck and all over the tailgate in very large amounts. This was 3rd time that took the vehicle to dealer and had it fixed.
Fuel was not flowing freely through the fuel lines to the engine. This is causing vehicle to function poorly. Dealership replaced the distributor and the fuel tank, but the cause of the blockage was undetermined.
