Two problems related to noises during shifting have been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When shifting from park to drive or reverse while applying the brakes a loud clanking noise was head from the rear. Also, the passenger's side seat unexpectedly unraveled. The drive train was defective, when the vehicle reached a speed of 70 mph it lost power and had become uncontrollable.
