One problem related to speed control cable has been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The gas peddle gets stuck and does not press down to accelerate. I have to try to mash down on the gas peddle several times for it to work. I was told the problem was the throttle valve cable was messed up and needed to be replaced and that there was carbon buildup. The mechanic that tried to fix it said he drained black gunk out of it.
