Two problems related to dashboard failed have been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. He stated that the instrument cluster would fail intermittently. While driving at speeds of 70 mph, he was received a warning from a local police officer. The officer advised him that he was actually traveling 90 mph. The failure mileage was 82,500 and the current was 83,500.
The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. The speedometer and oil gauge fail to work on the instrument panel. Occasionally, the speedometer gets stuck on zero or goes all the way to 120 mph. The oil gauge does not move at all and the dial becomes stuck all the way at the bottom. The contact called the dealer and they refused to inspect the vehicle for free. The manufacturer stated that they were aware of the failure, but they have not yet issued a recall. Through online research, she discovered numerous consumers experiencing the same failure and believes that it should be recalled. The failure mileage was 90,000 and current mileage was 105,000.
