Front Suspension Hub problems of the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado

Two problems related to front suspension hub have been reported for the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Suspension Hub problem

Failure Date: 11/20/2010

The contact owns a 2006 GMC sierra 2500. While driving approximately 75 mph, the contact heard a popping sound while turning the steering wheel and an abnormal grinding sound while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the front driver side hub was replaced. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000.

2 Front Suspension Hub problem

Failure Date: 02/09/2009

Front hub/wheel bearing failed at 37,000 miles.
