One problem related to tire tread/belt has been reported for the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
: the contact stated upon inspection, it was noticed, the under hood shield was ripped and the intake manifold was scratched. The tread was separating from the passenger front tire in chunks. The dealership determined the under hood damage was caused by a squirrel. Although the dealer was alerted no additional inspections have been made. The manufacturer has been alerted.
