I was on my way home from work after working a very long day and I fell asleep at the wheel and went off the side of 225. All I remember was waking up in between trees about two feet away from sims bayou. My vehicle was totaled. No air bags deployed.

A crack has formed at the top left corner of the airbag area, on the passenger side of the dash.
The light on my dashboard reads check airbags and will not go off.
7:10 a. M. Tuesday morning, I hit black ice and lost control of my vehicle. I proceeded to slide uncontrollably across the road. I then hit a cliff with the front end of my vehicle, once I hit the the cliff my vehicle then flipped in the air and landed on the driver side of the vehicle. Once I had landed on the pavement, another vehicle came along proceeding at around 45 mph. The vehicle proceeded to hit the hood of my vehicle. The driver hit my hood directly with the front end of his vehicle. During the whole incident, I had my seatbelt on. Also it was indicated that my air bags were one and functioning correctly. The vehicle itself was totaled and I sustained whiplash, a slight concussion, severe bruises and cuts, and also received a chipped tooth from hitting the steering wheel with my face.
My truck stayed parked for 10 days while on vacation. It was running fine when I parked it. Upon returning from vacation I tried to start it and nothing! it wont even try to turn over. After having a private mechanic look at it he said the fuse block under the hood has a short in it. How can it short out just sitting there? this could be a fire hazard & a safety issue!! I have 2 small children & if I were driving & it caught on fire we all could be injured!!!!!! this should open gm's eyes to have a recall on this vehicle.
Off and on vehicle locks into anti theft mode. . . . . . Sat overnite at walmart. . Sat overnite at groc store. . . Went to dealer 300 later not fixed they may try this or that $$$$$$$$$$$ each visit is expensive. . . . . Called customer support at gm they told me they new nothing about this happening. . . . . Googled internet a lot of people are dealing with this. . . . Called customer service back they told me not to google internet because many vehicles can break down they do not last forever. . . . . In the meantime I should return to service because they only hire top notch techs who can fix the problem. . . . . They are not fixing it they are guessing and each time they guess the problem exits but my wallet shrinks. . . . . . . . . This passlock even has it's own facebook page. . . . . . . This is bad and dangerous and expensive. . . . The only solution is to buy a kit and then try to find someone to install to override the system. . . . . . . . . This is ridiculous tired of looking at service seatbelt. . Little car with lock on it and turning key to nothing happening all because passlock failure.
My dash has several cracks in it around the passenger air bag. I am concerned that if the air bag is deployed that the defected dash will become sharp projectiles and cause undue injury to me or my passenger. I have seen many others with same problem and it is a safety concern to me.
My dash has cracks near the airbag and I have a concern with safety during a collision or airbag deployment from sharp plastic exposed due to the cracks in the dash cutting the airbag or shards of plastic becoming projectiles potentially causing injury to occupants.
The front speakers and one of the extented cab doors speakers do not work. Can not hear the warning chime. Sometimes when the truck has been driven for awhile the speakers in the driver's side starts to work. As of 07/11/14 the passenger side door speakers doesn't work unless the truck has been driven for awhile. . I've contacted gm servel times on this issue and get the same response, they can not help me without paying them a fee. . . . I tell them what is happening and they don't care. I sent an email to them on 07/12/14 and haven't heard from them yet. I afraid that the truck is going catch on fire or shut off while I'm driving or when my wife is driving with my kids in the truck.
