One problem related to power steering fluid has been reported for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at 10 mph and making a turn, the vehicle inadvertently lost power steering and stopped on the side of the road by a curb. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated the failure had been reoccurring while driving, almost causing the vehicle to crash into another vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who did not diagnose the vehicle and advised the contact that his VIN was not included in the recall for NHTSA campaign number: 17v414000 (steering). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 82,100.
