general problems of the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I haven’t experienced any issues yet.

My frame rail on the drivers side is corroding away to the point where it is no longer safe to drive / I have brought the vehicle to the gm dealership to verify the concern / I have contacted general motors about this concern and was given the run around / I have a vehicle that has costed my time and money to purchase / and maintain / this truck runs great and should be capable of lasting many more years - except for the fact that the frame rail is corroding away in the same spot on this truck as on other gm trucks from this year and model range . I believe gm designed a faulty frame/ I beleive the frames on these trucks were never treated to resist the elements /.

The frame on driver side of the truck is completely rusted threw and cracked. Extreme amounts of rust on the frame I have read thousands upon thousands of reviews related to the 07-13 chevy silverado. Im just once small voice in many please hold them accountable for this just like Toyota!!!.

While replacing the faulty takata air bag on my 2007 Chevrolet siverado the dealer autonation Chevrolet arrowhead 9055 w. Bell rd. Peoria, az they completely destroyed my dashboard. The dealer saying it was no fault of theirs. Now I am worried if the airbags deploy that myself and my passenger will receive serious injuries due the the pastic parts of the dashboard deploying with the airbag.

I had the takata airbag on the passenger side replaced as per your warning (NHTSA). My dash board was intact and had no cracks at the time of the repair. After the repair my dash board was completely destroyed. Dealer informed me it was not their responsiblity and caused no safety issues. Now I am concerned that if the airbag is deployed that the dash board will deploy with it, injuring the driver and passenger. This vehicle is not safe to drive and gm knows this.

Key fob not working. Passenger door controls not working. Window for passenger door not working from driveside control either but can use driveside window. Door lock not working on passenger side. Passenger side mirrow turn signal also not working. All this happen after replacing door speaker.

Motor and excessive oil consumption.

When trying to turn the key on to start the engine , the key will not turn unless wiggled quite a bit or rotated repeatedly in a circle before getting un-stuck and turning letting me start the truck.

Interior driver door handle cable broke. The window must be rolled down and exterior handle is used to open the door. The car has 63000 miles.

Took my vehicle to local dealer, they refused my service. Contacted manufacturer and they told me they have right to refuse my recall I need to go elsewhere. They are putting my employees and customers lives at risk and unwilling to service my vehicles safety recall for carbon monoxide at my local dealer.

Takata recall- I recieved a notice over a year ago about the airbag issue and still no resolution has been found. I believe more than adequate time has been allowed to research a solution and employment a replacement. Meanwhile operators and passengers are put in harms way with the u unknown of if the safety products we purchased will function properly if needed. Other- I have called several dealers and every one has told me that the plastic used on my vehicles dash has become brittle and broken. This included all silverado truck from 2007-2013. One even mentioned that it could possible affect the function of the airbag system. . . If it even functions properly. Yet, no attention to this by gm.

Frame beaming on the 2007 x tra cab classic truck. General motors campaign #pit3009j. The problem is so bad that it shakes the seat so violently that it is a health hazard to drive around. I have been driving my truck for two years now as my daily driver. The frame shakes so bad on the freeway that it has caused me back strains and neck pain when driving for over an hour. I have been to americas tire many times thinking it was a tire problem they have rebalanced the tires and even replaced the whole set with another brand with no improvement. After my recent mri from back pain I believe that driving this truck is fully to blame for my pain. Two years before I had a clean CT scan with just a slight disc buldge, now all my discs are smashed known as schmor'LS depressions caused from the repeated up and down beating on my spine from driving this silverado for the last two years up and down the California freeways. There are times it shakes so bad I feel I am going to loose control of the truck. I want general motors to know how serious of a problem this is, more than a shake it is beating people like me to death and is a serious health risk. I feel I have no choice but to contact an attorney for help.

Takata recall was issued over 2 years ago. There remains no remedy and my air bag light is currently "on" I have filed numerous complaints and there is yet to be a resolution to this problem.

1) still no solution for my takata air bag recall after 4 years. 2) I also have a major issue with the interior door handles. The metal cover as delaminated and sliced my hand. This is on both driver and passenger side.

I was told by south pointe Chevrolet that my recall is not affected on my truck, as I read this recall it does pertain to my truck. Can you tell me if the recall#49152 has this passenger recall for the airbag on it. The safety recall is 16v-381 recall# 49152 may 31, 2016 body, interior & misc. Also to mention that they sent me a recall and called me back stating it does not affect my vehical. I see it does and it concerns me not to know the truth. Tire capitol 245/70/17 precision trac ii, dot 11/ I was driving on the durate road near interection santa anita in arcadia,CA about 35 miles per hour, I heard a loud noise similiar to a compressor hose within 5 mins, all the air in my rear tire are gone, luckily I was near the arcadia tire shop (1/2 mile ),they inspected the tire, they told me there is a failure in the side wall rear tire . Recommended that I should not use these tire any more, it is not safe. These tire looks brand new, estimated 5000 miles of usage. I am replacing all 4 new tires at cosco, I am afraid to use these tire again.

The evening of March 10 2013 around 1700 hour my brother a single man, was fatally killed in his 2007 Chevrolet silverado k1500 pick-up truck, approximately 1 mile from his home on a paved country road. He was pr0nounce dead @ 1730 hour. The cause of the accident has not been determine, yet the report will show that he was traveling on a down hill slope where he swerved off the pavement to the right and then over corrected back on to and crossed the pavement on the left and then back across the hi way on the right impacting a bridge embankment over turning over hitting a tree, resting right side up. His air bag never deployed. We was told there was not any thing wrong with the airbags mechanism, further that the crash was not head on. This vehicle is totally destroyed. I have it storage for any one inspection. My brother was not ejected from the vehicle, I do believe, should the bags had deployed, my brother would be alive to day. Also, further his steering from one side to the other indicate he had no power steering and finally, the skid marks on the gravel edge and not on the pavement, give an indication, there were no power assisted breaking all add up to the fact the vehicle lost its electric power by the key switch accidently shutting the engine off.

The speaker in the front driver side door started buzzing, and after a few months it had spread to all four speakers. The dealership says they won't repair it even though it is a well known and frequently occurring problem. This truck is only 2 and 1/2 years old. It has over 50,000 miles because I have a long commute to work.

Vehicle lights flicker while driving,lights do not go completely off. Very disconcerting on freeway in morning while going to work. Mowrie Chevrolet had it for a week,but problem persists.

I just purchased a 2007 Chevrolet 1500 4/4 in may. When I put the hitch into the receiver I found it to be very loose. The factory towing receiver measured 2-1/4 inches. The factory standard has been 2-1/16 for years. In 2006 cheverlot made this change. The 2006 models were starting to split in the pin holes ,and it will only be a matter of time until the receiver fail, causing trailers too separate from the tow vechile. The receivers were extremely sloppy in both direction's, causing undo strain on the 5/8 hitch pin. Thanks for looking into this.
