1 Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 11/17/2014

I stopped at a store on my way home last night and when I got back in the truck and started it, it made a noise like it would if you turned the key and the engine was already running. I had the same response from starting it this morning after it sat in my garage all night. The truck has only 56,000 miles on it and gets regular maintenance. . . I'd hate to think I've got to replace the starter already. In the last two months I've had to deal with the "check engine / gas cap" thing and replaced the impact sensor for the air bag. Every week I get closer to trading in for a new Ford.

2 Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 11/07/2014

While driving home from work the vehicle started making noises and shaking. We took it to the shop to find out the issue was caused by the lifters which are being housed by plastic. According to the mechanic lifters should be held by metal not plastic due to the nature of the requirement on this type of vehicle. Using plastic to house the lifters is a bound issue. Other parts affected or that had to be changed due to this issue (cam, head set, guides, timer, set wire, set head, coolant, oil and filter). It cost us $3,911. 04 to get the truck fixed since the engine basically had to be removed to get to the lifters. This should never have happened if the lifters were stabalized in the correct type of material. We feel a recall should be made for this issue and we should be reimbursed.
