The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The mechanical jack that was equipped with the vehicle cannot be used as instructed in the operation manual. It poses a great danger if attempted to be used manually. The contact went to the dealer for instructions and they provided alternative locations to place the jack in addition to how it should be used. The contact disagrees with the instructions and cannot use the jack in the recommended manner. He called general motors and they called the dealer; however, neither one plans to take corrective action and close the case since no one was reportedly killed by the issue.
