The dealership has informed me that the radio control module of the vehicle needs to be replaced. The infotainment center which contains the backup camera is no longer functioning.

Sometime between backing into my parking spot at work, then backing into a parking spot at the dentist, my tailgate released/lowered. When I backed in at the dentist, my back up camera seemed to malfunction, so I just used my mirrors. Apparently, the camera was just pointing at the ground. Sine you can't see your tailgate in the mirrors; I could not see that it hit the retaining wall at the back of the space.

Front end, yes it is available for inspection upon my request. My safety wasn’t very safe the truck felt like the front wheels and back wheels were going to come out from underneath me. Vehicle has been to many shops and I have fixed some parts myself because of prices to pay at shops. The vehicle had at least two lights on the dash about the abs & stability track.

The radio system is severely defective, exhibiting: •complete loss of sound with no audio output •severe crackling and static when sound does work •intermittent failures that create safety concerns when navigation or hands-free calling fails. Turn signals have no sound or alerts from collision warnings, parking, rear cross traffic.

The guidance lines on my back up camera have gone out, and only shows a hourglass. In doing online research this shows up as being a large problem.
Since the truck was updated under the recal n242435631, the camera system guidelines no longer work, which is a feature that was sold as part of the the vehicle. This system no longer works and I fear there are other safety systems that may no longer work. Gm is refusing to fix the software issues that were caused by this recall update.

I purchased my truck in August of 2024, new off of the lot. Within the first week there was an issue with the infotainment system of the truck with muted all audio. This includes all safety features that have audio alerts, navigation, stereo, blinkers. Anything audio is affected. This has now happened to my tuck 6 times since purchasing it. I have researched this online, and it has been a common issue since at least 2022 with no solution by Chevrolet. I have concerns since this affects all safety features built into the truck.
Automatic braking disabled yet sensor stuck in alert mode and slams on brakes pulling into parking spaces, backing up, etc.
Dash lights started flickering for multiple seconds, losing control of steering almost crashed into oncoming traffic. Park assist light warning as well. Light for park assist was off. Was in town, whipped it into the gas station best I could. Shut it off. Filled up. Restarted, everything “normal” again.

Started to notice water marks on the driver and passenger side rear window. According to online forms it is a common problem with 2019 and 2020 silverados with a sliding rear window. The dealer claimed it wasn't a safety issue, which I argued it was due to the mold. Chevy knew about the manufacturing problem before they even sold me the vehicle and did nothing to fix it.

The automatic emergency breaking never worked. I took it to the dealership and they told me the computer didn't show anything wrong. I could tell the safety features weren't behaving properly though. While I was driving the breaks completely failed. Luckily I controlled the vehicle to a stop. Every light on the dash was on. I turned the of and restarted it. When I did the break peddle pumped repeatedly on its own hard back at me and made an awful noise. The check engine light came on and stayed on. From that point I tried to get to a safe location to call a tow truck to take the truck back to the dealership. While I drove I managed to get some video of the detection system as I closed distance to the vehicle ahead it saying the gap was widening and the car right in front of me would disappear. Then as the vehicle would pull away, the sensors would say the gap was closing. My safety and others was absolutely put at risk. If anyone would have been ahead of me when the breaks failed it would have been a deadly colission. After I told the dealership there was an issue and they told me I was wrong, then this happened, they have confirmed there is a problem and have had the truck for over a week trying to repair it. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance reps. There was no warning lamps prior to the failure. The only symptom was that the safety features that were stated to be on the vehicle never worked. The truck was specifically marked to have automatic breaking, safety assist, front pedestrian breaking, following distance indicator, and forward colission alert that never worked on a brand new vehicle that never worked from the day I purchased the vehicle. I did report it by calling and even bringing the truck in to be looked at and I was told there was "no issue" by the dealership. Then the break failure took place.
I bought the truck in April of 2023, a few days after I purchased it I was backing up and the review camera turned off and received an error. I went to the dealer and was told it was caused my my tow hitch. Which makes no sense since they have an option to towing. I've looked on forums online where several other owners have the same issue with the same year truck.
My vehicle has multiple issues that the dealer fails to appropriately investigate and try and resolve all I get is ntf rear camera blanks out and shows a warning symbol a triangle with exclamation and a camera symbol circled with a slash in the morning the trans slips until it up shifts through 1-2 then often 3-4 gears radio system can suddenly come on at full volume and vehicle has to be shut down and recyled to make it go away radi speakers come on all crackly with reduced volume capability occasionaly digital dash blanks out. Safety issue.
My trailer brake system service light is on. This is due to a faulty wire harness. This issue is also causing the stabilitrak service light to appear.

Vehicle engine blew up stopped running. I was driving up highway 17 leaving santa cruz heading towards sacramento when engine failed was able to pull off the side of the freeway without being sideswiped had to have chp come and shut down the number one lane in order to get vehicle towed. Was pulling a travel trailer. Vehicle and trailer were towed to the closest hotel in scotts valley the following day truck was towed to watsonville Chevrolet where they tore the engine apart and found the catastrophic failure of the engine, vehicle was inspected by watsonville Chevrolet mechanic. There were no warning mites before engine stopped working no warning and was very fortunate by god's graces to get off the side of the highway before being sideswiped or rear-ended. The repair took 47 days to fix two days after I got the vehicle back the battery was dead because certain electrical components like battery and stereo were not reconnected therefore caused a drain and would not start. Had to call gm again to have the vehicle towed to folsom Chevrolet California where they kept the vehicle for 9 days to fix the problem which was electrical.
The service stabiltrak and trailer brake system warming light comes on. The dealership said that it is a wire harness.
I bought the high country one year ago, signed a paper "we owe you" computer chip for front and rear bumper sensors. They said "should be in by July '22. I have checked with service and sales, no answers and no help. How do I get the sensors ?.
Service trailer park system.

Upon returning home after a short drive I pulled into my garage and almost drove through the wall… I purchased parking assistance and it was not provided. The feature apparently failed and turned off at some point without clearly notifying the driver. I don’t know if it provided a silent notice that automatically dismissed but it certainly did not notify me when I really needed it… low speed. The park assist light is indeed off now when the vehicle starts. Clicking the button reports “park assist off” even though it already appears off and is certainly not providing the intended safety feature. Clicking the button again does not turn the light back on but if clicked again it will again report it was disabled. This is strange and confusing for the driver. Using the infotainment screen one can toggle “park assist” off and the drivers info screen by the speedometer will finally say “park assist off”. Turning the feature back on in the infotainment screen actually turns the park assist button back on for about 5 seconds then it silently turns off and the driver is not warned that the system is not working. The driver is not properly warned of feature failure even though it appears the software knows it is not working. The little button goes out but the driver message screen does not warn the driver. This failure and poor awareness is a safety risk. Yes, we are unlikely to be parking super close to someone but we might indeed park near a gas hot water heater or similar hazard in work trucks. The driver must know if safety features failure during driving. Otherwise they are potentially more hazardous than vehicles without them. Drivers will by design rely on these features and must be warned if the vehicle knows they have failed. I don’t love that the vehicle has already had a failure with only 1695 miles but this dangerous software concerns me more.
Bought the truck 2 weeks ago and put 500 miles on it. Upon entering I got an alert on the dash saying esc power steering failure, parking sensor failure and abs failure drive with caution. All these alerts happened while the vehicle was parked and barely turned on. Sure enough I try to turn the steering wheel and the power steering was out and the parking sensors were out. I didn't try the brakes since I was not moving and parked.
I started my truck in my driveway and smoke poured from the base of the passenger side of the back window and then the glass shattered.
The antilock brake system (abs), brakes, and electronic stability control system (esc) might not illuminate. This could cause the driver to not know if any of these systems are inoperable.
Pulled into the parking lot at work at low speed when applying the brake to backup I noticed the brake pedal was very hard. I put my truck in reverse to back into a parking spot, the brake was very hard and wouldn't stop. When hit the fence the truck finally stopped. Called the dearler where I got the truck, they said there's a recall and the brake system needed to be reprogrammed but that wasn't going to fix it. 2019 I took the truck in @ 60,000 miles, they did a reprogram and said they couldn't do any thing else unless there was another brake recall. The bad thing about this whole brake problem is gm knows what the problem is and won't fix it. Gm has and will fix the problem if you pay 12 to 1,600 dollars. Since they did the reprogram I have 80, 000 miles on the truck and at low speed at a traffic light or in parking lots the brake is very hard and the abs system will activate. Same problem different day. I need new bombers now. I guess gm is waiting for someone to get hurt.

Truck was purchased brand new. Since I first got it I've had problems with the backup camera flashing, going completely blank, and giving an error to service rear camera system. Always occurs while in reverse. Dealership has tried fixing issue several times and now states this safety issue is normal in their vehicles. 11/25/19 dealership replaced back up camera due to lines flashing through screen while backing up. Screen frequently went blank and would also give service rear vision system error. 01/09/20 backup camera system continues to flash, go blank, and give error message. Dealership stated camera was tested and functioning as intended. 10/22/20 same issues persist with backup camera system. Dealership verified problem and replaced camera assembly on 12/14/20. 01/27/21 same problems persist. Dealership updated system and claimed not to be able to reproduce problem. While picking up vehicle flashing occurred before I even left the lot. Dealership requested I remove amp (installed long after problems started occurring; have documentation) before further diagnostics could be performed. 02/26/21 dealership said they checked other trucks in their lot which have the same issue. Says a voltage drop in the electrical system is what's causing the issue and stated there is no fix because this is a normal operation. 03/05/21 problems persist. Dealership built a new electrical harness and replaced radio system. Problem still continues. 03/09/21 talked to gm customer care. They state the safety issue with the backup camera flashing and going blank is operating as designed. 03/11/21 customer care stated vehicle is performing properly and as expected even though back up camera system still having problems. Says there's nothing else they will do for me to fix the issue at this time.
On multiple occasions, while driving, my truck suddenly locked/unlocked/locked/unlocked doors, airflow changed from a/c to heat, stabiltrak disengaged, parking assist shut off, traction control turned off, lights shut off, engine stalled, and was unresponsive.
