Warnings Problems of Chevrolet Silverado 1500

My forward collision light what on sp I took the vehicle in to have it fixed under warranty. Upon having that part replaced the dealership informed me my onstar module (unsure of technical name) was bad and that the vehicle would be inoperable until it is replaced. The part is on backorder with no eta. My safety is a major concern as this module controls several safety braking features and with me unaware of its malfunction a collision would have caused severe injury or death.

The light comes on I pull the number 11 fuse it stays off couple weeks comes right back on.

Truck will randomly throw codes for service 4wd and forward collision unavailable, rear cross traffic unavailable, lane departure will not work, auto high beams not work, and if parked position truck will not release park brake making truck unable to be moved. Truck has been in and out of certified dealer 3 times and problems still occurring at random. Dealer has stated they are not able to duplicate issues and can't do anything. Issues happening pose risk while driving when codes come on making all standard safety features not to work in event of a accident. Also making truck not mobile when park brake sets in event of accident.

The transmission is skipping gearing. There has been a recall for 2020 Chevrolet 1500 silverado, but my vehicle has not been call.

I purchased my truck in August of 2024, new off of the lot. Within the first week there was an issue with the infotainment system of the truck with muted all audio. This includes all safety features that have audio alerts, navigation, stereo, blinkers. Anything audio is affected. This has now happened to my tuck 6 times since purchasing it. I have researched this online, and it has been a common issue since at least 2022 with no solution by Chevrolet. I have concerns since this affects all safety features built into the truck.

The forward collision warning light just came on and has been on for five days. Nothing happened, no wreck, no bumping into anything. I have researched and found others that have had the same problem. I tried removing the f11 fuse and leaving it out for 15 minutes as well as replacing it. I’ve insured that the windshield is clean and cameras are not blocked. I’ve used the settings in the main screen to turn the option on and off and it still stays on. I’ve checked for updates but didn’t find any. I called the dealership and they couldn’t help and said bring the truck in.

Automatic braking disabled yet sensor stuck in alert mode and slams on brakes pulling into parking spaces, backing up, etc.

My husband hit another vehicle, then proceeded across the road and crashed into a telephone pole. The airbags did not deploy. However the vehicle called onstar to report the crash. The nc state trooper and the towing company both indicated that they were also shocked that the air bags did not deploy. This is a brand new vehicle with 1100 miles and has been declared a total loss due to the severity of the front end damage. The the body shop was also commenting on this fact.

Hola buenas tardes escribo estas lineas por aqui por que me siento indignado realize una compra DE esta camioneta cash en 90 mil dolares 0km y aun no tengo un año usandola y la he tenido que llevar al talle unas 10 oacaciones por problemas diferentes y el consercionario santo domingo motors no me da una solucion especifica ya que siempre el vehiculo vuelve con la misma falla desde consumo DE aceite, perdida DE fuerza en el motor deterioro DE luces frontales deterioro del pintura OH esmalte del chasis esta oxidado el vahiculo en varias ocaciones se me apago corriendo pudiento esto hacer que yo y mi familia tengamos un accidente ademas he tenido que estar sin vehiculo por mas DE un mes seguido y la empresa no se hace responsable DE nada tabiem he tenido que pagr gruas para que ellos puedan recibir el vehiculo realmente ya en esta empresa no confio para por que tampoco han sido lo suficiente claro conmigo siempre me dan un cuento,, yo no quiero esa camioneta ya por eso requiero DE su ayuda por que ya la han manipulado demasiado esa camioneta y yo compre un vehiculo 0km para no tener problemas y estoy 100% arrepentido 1ro DE comprar esa marca y 2 do DE haber comprado en esa entidad espero su pronta respuesta aahh ahora mismo la unida lleva prácticamente un mes donde ellos.

Since purchasing this truck 06/30/2024; during the 9100 miles driven, electrical issues such as check engine, ews needs to be serviced, forward collision service, stereo screen freezing up, tire pressure stating air is needed but checked air pressure, it is where it should be, right signal trailer service needed but not pulling a trailer. Three times after starting the truck it failed to go into reverse, stuck in neutral. Two of the three times it was able to reset after 10 minutes of shutting down the truck and restarting. Third time had to get the truck towed due to unable to reverse out of parking spot. When driving it seems as if the truck is stuck in 2nd gear while trying to accelerate, rough driving at times. When car turns off it makes knocking noise and sounds like it is trying to turn off electrically. Tailgate would open while driving even though shut and checked. Driver seat motor failing while trying to move the seat. Middle seat stays in upright locked position for days before it will release. Dealership is stating that valve body needs to be changed but will take up to 6-8 months due to backordered part, but no loaner car is available. Will have to be without a vehicle for the entire time. All is covered under warranty.

Forward collision system will light up and state it is not functioning. Will reset once truck is turned off for a bit. Stereo audio will intermittently cut out and stereo needs to be reset to hear audio again. Apple carplay will intermittently not connect.

Engine started misfiring at 33,000 miles, dealer replaced fuel injector still happening. Now they are breaking down the engine to check the cam shaft, I guess I will see my truck in 2 - 3 weeks. Front collision warning not working properly for the second time within a year. Dealer says they are replacing the camera.

Took truck to dealer for oil change 05/28/2024. After service was completed truck was returned with forward collision avoidance warning light activated. Spoke with service advisor who had no idea how to reset sensor. They cleaned windshield at camera location and still not reset. Took vehicle home and discovered cruise control was also disabled. Had to make another service appointment to have forward collision avoidance and cruise control repaired.

I was driving at about 40 mph and went to brake and the brake pedal went to the floor with multiple lights appearing on the dash including a warning "brake system failure max speed 43 mph" as well as "service esc". The brake light went on as well as the abs light and the check engine light. Brakes were not fully functional and were like old manual brakes that you had to press hard on to slow down. I was fearful getting back to the house. Multiple warnings appeared on my chevy app. Today I started to move in the driveway to clean up as I am taking to dealer tomorrow. All lights are off and the brakes now appear to work. The warnings are off of the app now (curious as to why for such a potentially lethal event) I have screenshots of the dash warnings but neglected to get a screenshot in the app. My fear is that the dealer will blow this off and the app shows all is good only to leave me drive this for them go out again. This is a signifivant safety issue for chevy (and for my family).

Forward collision system unavailable and front camera blocked clean windshield. This alert populates when the temperature is below 40 degrees. I have taken it to the dealership they ran there diagnostic and said it only needed an update. Problem is still happening I believe this is a manufacture problem. My windshield is not obstructed by anything. This is the only vehicle we have, and I feel my kids and I are at risk when I get these alerts on my dashboard. Problem first appeared back in October when temperatures started dropping in my city.

The automatic emergency breaking never worked. I took it to the dealership and they told me the computer didn't show anything wrong. I could tell the safety features weren't behaving properly though. While I was driving the breaks completely failed. Luckily I controlled the vehicle to a stop. Every light on the dash was on. I turned the of and restarted it. When I did the break peddle pumped repeatedly on its own hard back at me and made an awful noise. The check engine light came on and stayed on. From that point I tried to get to a safe location to call a tow truck to take the truck back to the dealership. While I drove I managed to get some video of the detection system as I closed distance to the vehicle ahead it saying the gap was widening and the car right in front of me would disappear. Then as the vehicle would pull away, the sensors would say the gap was closing. My safety and others was absolutely put at risk. If anyone would have been ahead of me when the breaks failed it would have been a deadly colission. After I told the dealership there was an issue and they told me I was wrong, then this happened, they have confirmed there is a problem and have had the truck for over a week trying to repair it. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance reps. There was no warning lamps prior to the failure. The only symptom was that the safety features that were stated to be on the vehicle never worked. The truck was specifically marked to have automatic breaking, safety assist, front pedestrian breaking, following distance indicator, and forward colission alert that never worked on a brand new vehicle that never worked from the day I purchased the vehicle. I did report it by calling and even bringing the truck in to be looked at and I was told there was "no issue" by the dealership. Then the break failure took place.

The service stabiltrak and trailer brake system warming light comes on. The dealership said that it is a wire harness.

Truck was less than a month old and one day would not start due to a dead battery. After putting a battery charger on the truck, I got it started. Drove it for a bit and had warnings appear in the cluster saying functions are shutting down to conserve battery power. I then received an e-mail from onstar indicating their is an issue with the airbags and to have the dealership look at this within 1 day. Truck was brought to the dealership the next day. After almost 2 weeks, a gm engineer had to get involved to diagnose why the forward collision module was shorting out which caused the battery to drain. The day after is was allegedly fixed, the light came on again in the cluster. The very next day, the brake pedal went rock hard when I tried starting the truck but could not start it since it appeared the truck did not recognize the brake being pressed on. After about 10 minutes of trying to start the truck, it did start. As far as earlier stated about the airbag warning, the dealership said it was a glitch in onstar trying to do an update which may have shorted out the forward collision module. Well, the truck is in for repair again for the same problem. In addition, the truck will lock randomly with the key fob inside the truck. This even happened at the dealership when the service advisor was checking my truck in the first time. I truly believe there is a serious electrical issue going on with this truck and feel unsafe driving it not knowing what might shut down, not work, air bags being deployed for no reason, or not being able to avoid a collision.

Headlights and park lights keep blow the bulbs both sides an the brake pedal gets hard as a rock and started pushing back up to me just does it at low speeds and backing up at low speed.

When I’m driving at slow speeds, the brakes feel real squishy and hard to stop.

Pulled into the parking lot at work at low speed when applying the brake to backup I noticed the brake pedal was very hard. I put my truck in reverse to back into a parking spot, the brake was very hard and wouldn't stop. When hit the fence the truck finally stopped. Called the dearler where I got the truck, they said there's a recall and the brake system needed to be reprogrammed but that wasn't going to fix it. 2019 I took the truck in @ 60,000 miles, they did a reprogram and said they couldn't do any thing else unless there was another brake recall. The bad thing about this whole brake problem is gm knows what the problem is and won't fix it. Gm has and will fix the problem if you pay 12 to 1,600 dollars. Since they did the reprogram I have 80, 000 miles on the truck and at low speed at a traffic light or in parking lots the brake is very hard and the abs system will activate. Same problem different day. I need new bombers now. I guess gm is waiting for someone to get hurt.

1. Drivetrain issue: at the 1st. Start of the day, when shifting into d (drive gear) ; upon accelerating, the trucks transmission drops off between 1st and 2nd gear as if it were pausing for 1-2 seconds, then truck surges forward issue started the day I drove off the lot. Thought it was truck just working out a glitch, but has always persisted. 2. Electrical issue: power mirrors; when power mirrors are folding inward mirrors do not close at the same time, started the day I drove off the lot. As time has passed it now has become an even larger issue, the power motor in mirror runs continually after it has been open or closed as well as mirror tilting when in reverse. Very distracting. 3. Collision censor: issue started within last 90 days; I can be driving down the road/ highway at any time with no other obstacles in my area, nothing around my truck on any of the four sides,truck will sound warning alarm as well as the display in the dash. I make sure all censors are all clean of any dirt-ice-snow, very troubling when driving as it makes one think there is on coming obstacles.
