The ball joint for the front left tire broke while driving on a straight road and caused over $2,100 worth of damage to the wheel, axle, brake, etc. I had no warning or anything when this happened. It felt like my tire popped and when I pulled over, the wheel was still attached but was sitting at an awkward angle. The shop quoted me at $2,154 as there were 5 or 6 different parts they needed to repair including the ball joint, axle, brakes, brake sensors, rim, etc.

It seems the top suspension arm on my front passenger side broke.
My vehicle came equipped from the factory with 18” wheels and tires and a 17” wheel and tire. The vehicle is equipped with 4 wheel abs which fails to operate properly when using the factory equipped spare tire. Gm recall a number of 2018 and 2019 vehicles with this very issue but did not recall my vehicle for this identical issue. I contacted gm who said if my VIN is not listed in the recall it is not an issue and they cannot correct the problem.

1st time I was idling for 30+ minutes, truck was also making strange knocking noises, pulled on to a major highway and rear end locked up, cars were slamming on brakes, almost got killed. Took to shop left for 2 weeks, they said they could find no issues. I assumed they fixed problem, because there was no knocking any more. 3 weeks later, was idling for about 45minutes, pulled into traffic, dark, raining, rear en locked up. Almost got killed a second time. Took in for service and left truck. This needs to be investigated before someone gets killed!.
The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet silverado. The contact stated that while driving at 50 mph, he pressed the brake pedal as he began to approach traffic on the highway. As the contact began to steer the vehicle to the left, the entire front driver side wheel assembly detached from the vehicle without warning. Once the vehicle hit the ground, the driver and passenger side airbags deployed and the contact hit the vehicle in front of him as he lost control of the vehicle. The contact was able to steer the vehicle off the highway and onto the left shoulder, the side curtain airbags then deployed as the vehicle came to a complete stop. Due to the failure, the brake line broke and spewed brake fluid throughout the engine and onto the road which resulted in an engine fire. The authorities were called to the scene and were able to extinguished the fire. A police report was filed(210081107). The contact did not seek medical attention at the scene but did treat himself for a scrape to the head once he returned home. The vehicle was towed to his home where it remained in his possession. The dealer was notified of the failure and he sent them pictures of the damaged vehicle. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,100.

2015 silverado clear coat peeling off wheels and not holding air I,m [xxx] if I need this truck in an emergency I,m stranded. Have contacted the dealer and gm both with no success the wheels were $2900. And they wanted me to pay $2300. For a truck that has 50,000 miles on it. It is clearly a safety issue driving down the road when they will not hold air. I filed a complaint in oct 2021 and oct 2024 information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Driving on the freeway the right back wheel just broke off. The tire went flying across the freeway. No one was hurt physically but it could have been worse. The wheels were not customized or changed in any way. My husband, myself and our baby were inside.
My truck has already had a shimmy feel in the transmission around 60 mph it shook and would slip gears. I just had it get worse this week. I also noticed that the front end is not shaking really bad from 60-75 mph on newly paved roads. The truck used to drive like a dream now its driving so rough and there is something going on!.
Michelin tire exploded while driving on a highway approximately 30 mph, no problems before. Only 14,500 miles driven.
Vehicle bought new from dealer Dec 2020. I decided to replace some lights so, I lowered the spare tire for better access while replacing a light bulb. I noticed everywhere the spare tire and the frame cross members come into contact the paint has rubbed away and rust has begun to form. Also, the sidewall of the spare tire has corresponding spots where the rubber has worn away. This leads me to have concerns as to the spare tire's availability in the event of a flat.
The tires have large cracks forming in the sidewalls. The cracks are deep and it appears may rupture at any moment. The cracks are wide enough to easily put 2 pennies in nd cover the top of Lincoln's head. Noticed this has happening last year, but just noticed how bad it has become.

I have had an issue with my 2007 chevy silverado jerking with a hard thump while accelerating. At first it was diagnoses as a faulty throttle body. Replaced the throttle body. Now it intermittently pulls hard when accelerating at any speed. This cannot be safe. Dealerships cannot figure out the issue and I am having trouble googling any specific reason. Many people have this same issue with little to resolution. This is intermittently so it the stabilitrac and traction control lights come on and off within minutes. It was happening a few times a weeks and now it is happening a few times a day. This cannot be good for the safety of the vehicle on the road or the people in it.
Im not able to let down the spare. The system dont work properly on most trucks. This is dangerous when on the interstate.

I have had the tire pressure indicator that tells the tire pressure of all four tire replaced several times. John l sullivan Chevrolet in roseville California keeps telling me that they are wearing out do to use. But the truck only has 70k in mileage and I they malfunction all the time. I get readings of 99 lbs of air pressure. Then the same tire will say 0 lbs of pressure. And it will say 7, then 29 then 18 lbs of air pressure in a distance of 2 blocks traveled. This is a malfunction due to faulty parts in the gm tire pressure reading system and they need to fix it. If I take it to the chevy dealer, they want to charge me $209 to per tire to replace them and then they still do not work after they replace them still get crazy tire pressure readings and it warnings flashing on my instrument panel that are distracting and dangerous. It does not flashes every 5 seconds that I have a tire pressure issue and it needs to get resolved. But Chevrolet will not do anything but charge money of there problem with their truck part that is malfunctioning.

Pulled out of a construction site after a work day and the wheels on my truck locked up right in the middle of the road. If I was pulling into a highway, I would not be writing this right now. The truck was idling for about 2 hours before I pulled out into traffic. The way the wheels stopped, it felt like the parking brake is engaging when I drive. Maybe this is some kind of limp mode to prevent damage. If that is the case, it is a very dangerous fail-safe to implement on a vehicle that people depend on for work. I do not think it is a coincidence that this is the first silverado model with an electronic parking brake. Oh yah, and this just coincidentally happened 1000 miles after my bumper-to-bumper warranty expired. Also, gm customer service is just a call center in india. Don't bother calling them.
After purchasing vehicle, the truck shakes extremely bad on highway, I notified dealer the same day and they have come to the conclusion after performing a road force test that the wheels are either bent or damaged. The shake is so bad it is hard to hold wheels steady and tire almost feels like it is going to come off. The dealer is stating that they refuse to pay for the cost to fix the safety problem even under warranty. I have driven back and forth an hour each way to dealer over 5 times now and they do not want to fix the situation.
I received an letter in the mail stating that my vehicle had an recall for airbags. I call gerry lane south chevy in baton rouge, la and they refused to honor it. I've contacted them about 3 weeks ago. Can someone help me with this? I would hate for something to happen to me if I was in an accident. Also, I've looked on NHTSA website for other recalls on my vehicle. My vehicle has an recall for an wheel hub assemblies. My vehicle pulls to the right to the point that I have to stop to the vehicle (if I can), and it roars very. According to the NHTSA website the vehicle should have the recalled done but I don't believe it was done correctly. Can I get the dealership to fix the recall if the recall was already done? I am the second owner of the vehicle.
Tl-the contact's husband owns a 2018 Chevrolet silverado. The contact stated while driving at various speeds the vehicle started to make an abnormal noise. I took my vehicle in for service and riverside Chevrolet, they documented my vehicle tire pressure was reinflated to factory specs but they were not.
A rear tire blew causing loss of control and the vehicle struck a shale wall on the side of a highway and someone died in the vehicle.
Tl the contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving on the highway, the rear of the vehicle fishtailed and swung back and forth. Al serra Chevrolet (6167 s saginaw st, grand blanc, mi 48439, (810) 202-001) stated that the tires caused the failure. The dealer refused to replace the tires, but admitted that the failure also occurred to other vehicles. The manufacturer stated that there were no defects in the tires and would not replace the tires. The failure mileage was 20.
Front suspension repaired fixed but did not fixed the vibration in front tires. Front driver side hub and bearing assembly failed since I had truck(used). Had front end redone but wheel still vibrated and took it too dealership July 3, 2021 and stated the hub and bearing grinding and growling and activates abs lights. Fuel line needs replace due to rust problems and dealership stated that the pump and retaining cam are very rusted and has a spot on the pump that is wet but not soaking wet(fail dealership looking for lawsuit for fire hazard). Fuel lines are rusted so whole truck needs repair. I spent $5400 on used truck and putting more money into it with repairs due to rust, parts and labor which is stupid as some parts do not take long if dealership have tools. I don't know incident as there no accident or anything.
Valvestems split at base adjacent to wheel after < 4 months and < 5000miles. These were purchased from general motors (dealership) and installed by a reputable tire store. They would release air at a rate of approximately 10-15psi per 100mi driven and only at freeway speeds. No air loss around town or over night while sitting. Bending the valve stem downward (away from the hub and towards the tire) caused the air to escape. This is the direction they would natural bend while spinning due to centrifugal force. All 4 were leaking or showed signs of damage in the same location.

On 7. 3. 2019, I was backing into a parking space when a loud noise occurred. I got out and my truck was sitting on the ground as my front driver side tire was broke off and resting on the ground. I had the vehicle towed to the nearest chevy dealer and was told the control arm had failed causing my tire to break off. August 8th, this happened again but on the passenger side. Thankfully this happened at my home when pulling into the driveway. I am not sure how this has not been recalled seeing as this is obviously faulty control arms on both sides of the truck. This could have been a catrastophe had I been on traveling at higher rates of speed. This is an expensive repair and is quite ridiculous seeing as the truck is not that old. I am hoping that chevy will make this right before others with the same issue are injured. I can also provide pictures of both incidents.
Air conditioning went out twice, brake pedal hard and wheel bearing noise from rear becoming louder after dealer said it was okay.
Shaking in the front at speeds over 40mph when there is a slight acceleration, that does stop when you take the foot off the gas. The shaking seems to get more violent at higher speeds, and so far the dealer has been unable to find the cause.
We noticed the truck started to bounce and hop while driving down the road. We looked at the tire and noticed large lumps indicating a belt separation on the toyo tires a/t ii.
Hi my name is [xxx] my email is [xxx]. I've had my 2005 Chevrolet silverado ss truck with the 6. 0 engine for five years. In those 5 years I have had to change the wheel hub assembly's and the front rotors times 7 times. I'm pretty sick of this recurring issue I see that there was a recall on the regular silverados for my year but not on the 6. 0 engine I'm not sure what gives but I need this problem to be rectified. This is a normal everyday driving vehicle to and from work nothing spectacular and there shouldn't be that much wear and tear on those parts in that little bit of time I've owned tons of other vehicles for that amount of time and longer and I've never had to change that part once I've had to change it 7 times on this vehicle I really love my vehicle and don't want to sell it so I'm trying to figure out if there is a permanent fix for it or a recall. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

On 3-18-19 at approximately 1600 hours we were traveling north on I 84 near newburgh, NY. I was driving a 2016 Chevrolet 2500 silverado (45,000 miles) towing a 2019 grand design 5th wheel RV. We were traveling in the travel lane when a pickup pulled alongside honking his horn, the driver was pointing at the camper. I pulled over and discovered the cable holding up my spare tire broke, the spare dropped to the pavement bouncing under the camper. I did a quick repair got off the highway and spent the night in a motel. The next morning I spent 2 hours repairing the camper enough to get it to our residence in maine. Damage repair bill to the RV was $9100. 00. I brought the truck into quirk Chevrolet bangor me where I purchased it new and their mechanics inspected the tire hoist. They could not explain why the cable frayed and broke. The spare was inspected before our trip south in Feb. And was securely in place with no movement. The cable was in new condition with no rust. I dealt with gm customer service gave them accident reports and all info needed. May 5th gm sends out esis field inspector ron yeager. Mr. Yeager states he has never seen this before on such a new vehicle. Approximately a month later I'm in contact with gm they deny the claim for repairs but have no explanation as to the cause. This spare tire system on gm trucks has long been known for its failures. Usually the cables rust in place and you can't get the tire down when needed. I've always owned gm trucks and usually place the spare in the truck bed due to this poor system. If the RV was not behind my truck that 65lb spare could have done severe damage to the vehicles/persons traveling behind me.
