Came to a stop at top of exit ramp truck continued to roll backwards brake light and abs light came on, truck beeped three times coming up ramp, hit excellerator and truck engine did not respond. Hit emergency brake. Put truck in park and turn off ignition. Truck refused to start. Extremely dangerous stop to cut off as tractor trailer we're coming off interstate behind me full speed to truck stop (before this incident the truck had driven completely fine on a 60 mile drive all interstate except for maybe three miles. ). Truck is still at the mechanic as they can not get truck started. Its been a week.

Vehicle is used to tow a fifth wheel RV. The exhaust heat from the truck has melted /deformed fiberglass and plastic on the fifth wheel directly behind the exhaust outlet. The truck is completely stock without any after market additions. The truck has less then 10 k miles, and the damage occurred around 8500 miles. I am concerned about the truck causing a fire on the RV. I have contacted the manufacturer but they have not offered any resolution to the problem. I cannot specify whether the damage occurred when standing or driving as it was discovered after a long trip. ## VIN passed ## Chevrolet Silverado 3500 2019 6. 6 duramax diesel ##.

Exhaust is leaking into cabin when stopped or parked.
Takata inflators: my 2006 chevy 3500 driver side airbag deployed overnight while the truck was locked, not running, and had no keys in it in my driveway. This is unacceptable! the truck was not in an accident. Thankfully I wasn't driving down the road when it deployed, or I could have been killed. 2006 should be included in the recall. My truck was manufactured 5/2006 and the recall includes trucks made 12/2006 and newer. What can be done by chevy to pay for my repair? additionally, the night before the air bag deployed on its own the passenger side rear window fell into the door. Again it was parked in the driveway locked not running, keys not in it!.

Exhaust manifold bolts broke off . Due to cheap metal used.
Diesel exhaust filter (def) and flow reduction tube on duramax lml engine. Fautly def requires extremely high temperatures to clean - or regenerate - causing the def and reduction tube to fail. High temperatures are a fire hazard to vehicle and grass or other terrain over which the truck is parked. Gm no longer manufactures the reduction tube, gm part number 25960609 forcing the consumer to wait for gm to make part on special order basis - over 30 days - or force consumer to remove def or make other fabrication, order to operate the vehicle. Gm is aware via customer service and dealer complaints that the lack of part 25960609 availability is a nation-wide problem and has a high failure rate. Gm stopped production as a cost saving measure. The duramax lml engine is in service mostly as commercial vehicle fleet. Thus, there is a high probability of unsafe fabrication in order to restore vehicle operation.

Driving vehicle abs and skid warning lights appears, brake system warning appears always lit while in towing mode. None stop beeping. No reason why this is happening. Had vehicle checked by multiple Chevrolet dealerships and they have changed sensors, towing plug twice, electrical rewiring. Began towing 1 hour after repairs and the same problems began all over again. No changes have been noticed $2700. 00 later.

Get in the truck when its cold starts on first try. You drive the truck when it gets hot and stop to purchase something then you get back into the truck put the key in the ignition try to start . It will not start just cranks . I have to let the truck sit for about 10 to 15 minutes then it may start. This problem has cost me (2) new fuel pumps at the gm dealers stranded me in the parking lots in the desert towing etc. After researching they say it is a pass lock problem something about security/ theft. I'm the original owner truck was always hard to start more than3to 4 cranks. Why hasn't this been on a recall for gm?.
Vehicle will not stay engaged in park, was parked opening a gate and the vehicle made a loud pop and started rolling backward, with a trailer, load of hay, has done lots of damage has 2000 miles on it. It was stationary then started rolling backwards.

Ibc ( integrated brake controller ) factory installed is not compatible with trailer braking systems using a eoh ( electric over hydraulic systems) however according to reports on various web sites and going to a gm dealer their recommendation is for owners to have installed at our ( owners ) aftermarket brake controllers with no compensation , people that have bought these trucks were not told by the dealers who were/ are aware of the incompatibility issue and has caused financial burden to the owners , however the new 2016 have had the problem corrected and have offered no solutions to previous year owners other than the aftermarket controller expense . This issue almost caused me to have a catastrophic collision if I had not had the thought and awareness to drive off the road into a ditch which incurred upon me a $850 towing bill to get back onto the highway. I bought the truck in July of 2015 used from a dealer in tallahassee ,florida and had not used the truck for towing a trailed until the date of the incident!.
I find the push button controls on the steering wheel are to small for a working driver. When wearing gloves it is very difficult using the small push buttons. The buttons that were used on the previous models were more user friendly.
I never received a recall on my Chevrolet truck which is the same year make and model as this one. Took it to a dealership and had it fixed. They said it wasn't recalled so we had to pay the bill. Isn't their a way to find the recall and get reimbursed for the repair bill and all the associated costs? we have called and made a complaint to NHTSA. Nothing came of it. It still is a safety defect that should be repaired with no cost to the customers.
Rear passenger door lock does not lock or unlock on 2009 chevy silverado. While driveing the grand kids to school the rear driver side door opened while going around a corner. The grandson did admit that he had his hand on door handle. Come to find out that the door lock has failed on this door. We are lucky that we infornce the seatbelt rules or this would have been a real accident. I contacted gm and had the vechile looked at. The door lock motor has failed and the delaer told me that it is a known problem and they have changed 100's of them. I contacted gm and opened a case but gm said that they will not address the problem. Another lock has failed and again gm will not admit that there is a problem with the door locks. I see that there are 1000's of posts on the web about failed door locks on this year vechicle.

While driving home around 10 pm with small children; my truck started to surge, became difficult to control, and the gages did not register anything ( all at 0). This road was in the middle of nowhere and outside a bad area, so I called my husband to come follow me home and I drove home slowly all the while enduring a chugging motion. What is normally a 20 minute trip became an hour and a half trip. When I got home and shut the truck off my husband looked at it thinking that the fuel injectors could be the problem since they had just been recalled and replaced. The truck would not start when he went to restart it and the dash said 'unknown driver". Through some research we discovered it is a faulty passlock system. We went through the recommendations and it was fixed. This occured again today August 18, 2011 while driving and I now can not start my vehicle or have it towed because it can not be put on a truck because everything is locked up tight and can not be unlocked. We changed the batteries in the key fobs to no avail. The windows are stuck open and it is rainy season here. They lights come on and the information center keeps says 'unknown driver. " I am now afraid to drive my truck for fear that the next time I will not be able to control it. I have an 18 year old that drives my truck to college and I live in great fear that he will not be able to control the vehicle if it does the same thing whild driving it.

Gm had a injector problem (recall ) in 2006. They replaced mine on sept,27 2006. On may 21 20013 I had the same problem in which gm conveys they can't fix it again. The mileage on may, 21 was 84362, just about how long the others lasted. I was told from my local gm dealer that they are several other owners with this same problem (thousands). I just wated to pass my grief along to let someone else know how you are treated by one of the companies that we bailed out with our monies.
