Six problems related to front suspension have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving consumer noticed that the front end shook uncontrollably. Consumer took vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic informed consumer that the problem could not be duplicated.
When the brakes were applied, the steering wheel went to the left then right, which resulted in no control of the steering wheel, due to a bolt which held the front suspension, had fallen out.
Tire air pressure check 4 days before, 55psi front 80 rear, hot desert road, pulling 14ft trailer, felt vibration checked tires 2 times could not see defect, felt problem front end of car vibration not felt at 50 to 55. (dot number: v611bta289 tiresize: lt24575r16).
When driving at any speed and coming to a stop there is a loud knocking and popping noise coming from the front left wheel.
The car has had a chronic alignment problem, causing veh. To pull right. In the 30,000 miles that I have owned the car, I have had the alignment done at least 6 or 7 times. It is dangerous, as well as a nuisance to repeatedly deal with.
While making a left turn hit brakes and bumps, and consumer heard loud noise. Dealer has been notified several times. Please provide furhter inofmation.
