Gasoline Engine problems of the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban

Two problems related to gasoline engine have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Gasoline Engine problem

Failure Date: 06/10/2000

While towing a trailer at 55mph, black smoke came out from the rearend and oil blew out all over the back of my car and the trailer. This was the first of four occurrences.

2 Gasoline Engine problem

Failure Date: 08/15/1998

Intermittently while driving approximately 70 mph down the interstate the vehicle just dies without any warning. Dealer and manufacturer have been notified.
