Two problems related to mid/rear seats assembly have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The center seat that slides forward on the passenger side of vehicle will not remain locked and slides forward when brakes are applied. Once the seat is locked you cannot slide if forward to enter the rear seat. The cam mechanism is plasitc and does not work. This is a dangerous problem as I carry 7 children to school each day.
While driving 55 mph rear passenger side seat collapsed backward with a child seat installed. Dealer stated the outboard recline latch failed. The part was repaired twelve times. However, the problem recurred.
