Accelerator Stuck problems of the 2001 Chevrolet Suburban

Four problems related to accelerator stuck have been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Accelerator Stuck problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2006

The contact owns a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban 1500. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal would stick during the initial starting. The failure generally occurred during warm weather. As of December 11, 2007, the dealer had not inspected the vehicle. The failure mileage was 68,000 and current mileage was 78,000. Updated 03/14/08.

2 Accelerator Stuck problem

Failure Date: 11/17/2004

When the consumer attempted to accelerate from a stop, the accelerator pedal became stuck. The consumer had to use excessive force . The cause was not determined. Please provide more information.

3 Accelerator Stuck problem

Failure Date: 08/23/2004

While vehicle was parked with engine running for 15 minutes and when attempting to drive consumer noticed that the accelerator pedal was stuck. This happened intermittently, usually the longer the vehicle sat.

4 Accelerator Stuck problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2003

My accelerator keeps sticking on my 2001 Chevrolet Suburban. I feel like this is going to cause an accident. I have talked to the fleet maintenance people here at my work and they have had the same problem with other Chevrolet fleet vehicles. Please please check into this it is going to cause someone to lose their life!.
