One problem related to speed control cable has been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving, the accelerator became stuck which was caused by an accelerator cable failure. The parts were replaced. The accelerator would also stick when stopped. The pressure must be applied to the gas pedal until it suddenly released and caused the vehicle to lurch forward. The consumer also experienced the same problem with his 2000 Suburban. The consumer was informed by several garages it was a common problem from the 1999's on up with Chevrolet; GMC, Suburban, tahoe, and pick up's.
