On March 30 my 2001 surburban quite running in the middle of a 6 lane highway in hattiesburg, ms. It would not crank again and even though I knew I had plenty of fuel the guage was showing empty. I was told that the fuse controlling the entire fuel operation had blown and after replacing it the dealership in hattiesburg said that they could not find another problem. Yesterday, April 11, I was on a 2 lane highway stopped for construction when it suddenly quit running again. I had an extra fuse this time but I had to get out in the line of traffic in order to open the hood and replace the fuse. When I tried to crank it again the fuse immediately blew. The vehicle again had to be towed to a repair shop. This time I was told that a wire was burnt and it caused the fuel pump to short and blew the fuse. I have not been told why the wire burnt and would like to know if you have had this problem reported with other surburbans.
