Six problems related to door have been reported for the 2007 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The door handles have cut three members of my family because the metal is peeling off of the plastic. Seat belts are falling apart and at least 3 of them do not latch at all. This is very dangerous. There definitely should be a recall especially for the seat belts. Air bag light is constantly on and the dealer of course wants to "fix" it and states that if there is a crash that it may not work properly. . . . . . . . . This after I had the top half of the engine rebuilt due to oil consumption problem. Then there is the tire pressure monitor which apparently has issues after having new tires put on my car. Nothing but problems with this hunk of junk. Will never buy another chevy vehicle.
On April 13, 2011 I cut me finger on the inside door handle trying to open my 2007 chevy Suburban. The metal part seemed to have peeled up and I cut my finger on it.
The chrome on front passenger interior door handle is peeling off, creating a sharp edge that I have cut myself on when opening the door. Other passengers have cut themselves on it as well.
Cut finger on door of 2007 Suburban due to failure of plastic chrome on interior driver door handle. Other handles in car are also failing. Reported to dealer and they reported numerous complaints and failures as well as other cut hands and fingers which should indicate a design flaw.
