Four problems related to body have been reported for the 2009 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Dashboard cracked around the corner of the passenger side air bag and manufacturer did not recall. It appears there are many vehicles with this problem and could be a potential safety issue if the airbag malfunctioned and caused parts of dash to break and rupture air bag or fly into passengers of vehicle in the event of a crash.
When I bought this vehicle in January, 2019, it had a small crack across the middle of the dashboard. Now the crack has expanded and the whole dashboard is loose and bounces around while driving the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that the dashboard began to fracture. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the dashboard fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
Dash board has developed major cracks, parked in drive way motor mount broke, discovered at inspection engine had to be rebuilt die to excessive oil consumption (covered under warranty) wheels coroded from inside, pitted head, tires leak air as a result purchased as a gm certified vehicle, 32k miles.
