On mother's day I was driving my 2010 chevy Suburban with 92k miles on it. When I was leaving the car wash I accelerated on the gas to get onto hwy 29. As soon as I got unto hwy 29 a car switched from the left lane to cross over in front of my vehicle to get on to the on ramp for hwy 37 east. I pressed the brake to ensure I wouldn't hit him. However, when I pressed the brake the SUV was still accelerating. So I looked down to see if the gas peddle was stuck under the mat. It wasn't. So pressed the brake harder. The SUV was still accelerating. I then put the SUV in neutral, but is was still accelerating all the while keeping my foot firmly pressed on the brake. So I moved the gear shit into the manual position. Once moved into the manual position the dash read m2 which represents second gear. So I quickly took my foot off the brake, gave it gas, quickly shifted back into neutral while hitting the brake and then into drive. The engine revved real loud and then the brake starting working again and accelerator was normal. My vehicle was towed to team Chevrolet in vallejo & a case was opened with gm. I have been getting the run around with both and mostly recently was told a lie from the gm representative.
The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Suburban 1500. While driving approximately 50 mph, the contact noticed a warning light illuminated that indicated a loss of engine power and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after removing the key from the ignition and waiting several minutes. The vehicle was equipped with on-star and the on-star representative advised that the throttle body sensor had caused the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician advised that the throttle body sensor would need to be replaced and the computer would need to be rebooted. The vehicle was repaired and the dealer covered the costs of repairs. The approximate failure mileage was 41,500.
