Air Bag Light On problems of the 2010 Chevrolet Suburban

Upon entering the vehicle this morning, 11/17/2020, I noticed a crack in the dash near the passenger side airbag. As I started the vehicle and driving the service airbag light came on. The mileage at the time was 129173.

Takata recall . I want a resolution and a solution to fix my air bags before a disaster strikes ! I am very frightened for my family and myself. My Suburban has been in the chevy dealership multiple times for airbag issues! the service airbag lights come on intermitedley and I never know when they are working or not . I also notice when light comes on the seatbelt doesn't catch to save me from flying through the window. Lights up at random times .

3 Air Bag Light On problem

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags). The part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact called nash Chevrolet (630 scenic hwy s, lawrenceville, GA 30046; 770-822-6678 or 678-317-2806) who stated that they were not repairing vehicles at the time. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and informed the contact of the petition being expanded until December 31, 2017; therefore, no vehicles were being repaired at the time. 4 Air Bag Light On problem

My airbag indicator light has come on in my dash and when I pulled this up on your site I am needing to no if I take my vehicle to the dealership are they going to fix the problem or am I going to have to pay for the replacement of the defective part originally installed in my vehicle. The light come on while I was driving on a smooth city street.

5 Air Bag Light On problem

The check airbag light will come on randomly at any given time. It usually stays on for about two days or so and goes off for several weeks before popping back on. We usually see this happen when there are temperature changes from season to season. Even though there is a recall concerning the airbag system on certain makes and models, we were surprised when our truck was not on the list.

6 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 06/08/2016

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated and the electronic starter failed. In addition, while the vehicle was in reverse, the rear assist sensor failed. As a result, the contact crashed into a tree. The contact sustained neck injuries, but did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags); however, the part was not available for the recall remedy. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The approximate failure mileage was 135,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
