Electronic Stability Control problem #1

My Tahoe showed stabilitrak issues when I first bought it a year ago. I received a recall notice and took it into the nearest dealer. It was ok for awhile but the same problem started again a month ago. The truck turns on and off for about 1 second as I'm pulling into a parking space. However, now I've had issues when I try to lock it with the fob; it does nothing. I have been stranded at a business because it won't turn back on and I have to wait awhile and try to crank it. It comes back on but this has happened to me more than 3 times. Now, I was driving to work and as I pulled into my work garage, everything turned off completely and this time nothing came back on. I had to quickly turn the ignition key to the off position, thankfully I had my foot on the brake and I had to turn it back on again. I was worried because this is in the downtown area and this is a very busy city street in the morning hours. I was lucky it turned back on at all. Another time, I could not start my truck when I got off of work and I was stuck on the 3rd floor of my parking garage. I am concerned that I'll be driving and all of a sudden this Tahoe will shut off while I'm in traffic. I have to travel 3 freeways to get to work and back home during heavy traffic, I'm worried about my safety and others as well because since this is an issue where the truck turns off completely, I will have no control on getting hit or hitting someone else at a high rate of speed (65 mph).

Electronic Stability Control problem #2

I 2019 around March to may I took my car to the Chevrolet place in claxton, GA due to my brakes not working properly and showing "brake assist" message. They had my car in their shop five times for this matter. First three times they couldn't find anything, fourth time they replaced the wrong part and cost me almost $500. Fifth time they replaced in under the recall that was out then. Now, Feb 2020 my car has brake issues again. This time my car is showing "stabilitrak" and "brake assist". They are wanting to repair a hub, a module and struts and saying that this is also due to a "side detection system". My struts were related last year before the previous brake repair. I have done my research online and seen that many vehicles from many year makes have had these issues with their vehicle and gm is avoiding the issue. I have two small children that ride in this car and one was in the car with me when my brakes didn't work properly this past issue. My car was now been in the shop for brake issues 6 times and this side detection issue I think needs tone looked into further being so many customers are having issues with this.

Electronic Stability Control problem #3

Loud popping noise from center of steering wheel. Repaired twice already. Problem keeps coming back. Steering is very hard at times. Especially at lower speeds. It feels like a 65 chevy truck with no power steering. It's scary at times.

Electronic Stability Control problem #4

I purchased my vehicle2015 chevy Tahoe lt on July 1, 2019 I have had intermittent glitches in the electrical system. The headlights, dash lights, and mylink touchscreen will completely black out and then come back on. However, when this happens the steering wheel locks up for a split second. This is happening while driving, at speeds over 50mph, during the night and day. It was suspected to be the alternator or battery, after replacing the alternator there was no change in the behavior. It continues to happen. The service stabilitrack warning will also pop up after the power is restored. This issue is very dangerous and after reading dozens of forums it's clear this is not an isolated incident. This has happened over and over at least 20 times since July 2019, randomly and completely unexpectedly.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving at various low speeds and coming to a stop at a stop signal or while attempting to park the vehicle, the brake pedal failed to respond. The contact stated that excessive force was needed to depress the brake pedal. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and was repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 19v761000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electronic stability control); however, the failure reoccurred and was more frequent. The vehicle was not taken back to the dealer or to an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 146,000.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

After reading the large number of similar problems with the 2015 Tahoes and after speaking with individuals in this area in business with gm, I feel even more unsafe than I have before. I was told that although numerous problems and multiple lawsuits with the 2015 Tahoes, that there has been no total recall with my specific VIN number. Shocking. I did see several recalls of great concern that I had not been made aware of. It's a hardship to have my vehicle in the shop more than it is in my garage. It's a hardship to pay to rent a working, safe vehicle because the one I pay $615 monthly for is unsafe, unreliable and a liability. In conclusion, are there steps an individual is able to take to resolve situations such as this? or is this something that one would need to seek assistance of legal aide to get the ball rolling?.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

I have a 2015 chevy Tahoe. It has put my family in harms way a dozen times in the last 3 months. The vehicle shows a "stabilitrak" warning. . Then the steering wheel locks, the engine and all electrical shuts down, and you loose complete control over the vehicle at highway speeds. It has almost killed us. Gm and our local chevy dealership are doing nothing about it. The chevy mechanics keep telling us there is nothing wrong with it. We are honeslty afraid the vehicle is going to kill us or someone else.

Electronic Stability Control problem #8

Upon pressing brakes headlights flash, interior light flash, oil gage and rpms fluctuate all over. Stabilitrack sensor comes on. Upon accelerating to about 60-65the car brakes for itself. Doors lock, lights flash. Losing power steering when shifting gears.

Electronic Stability Control problem #9

While driving on the highway at high speeds, 70-80 mph, steering became extremely difficult for brief periods. Often times it was immediately following actuation of the automatic window switch. It was accompanied with a lot of the loss of electrical power, a flickering control panel, abs light, stab trak, brake assist, and park assist warnings. A/c would stop, radio would turn off, the dashboard would flicker, then I would have to acknowledge all of the warnings in order to clear the issue. Steering was tough, though controllable, but I question the ability of a less experienced drive to be able to handle the same problem at those speeds. This has happened before at lower speeds, usually while backing up to park. At lower speeds the SUV would cut off completely. At higher speeds, the stall was recoverable, very fortunate in this matter. Unable to get the issue to repeat at the dealership and it is very inconsistent. Usually resets itself once the car is turned off and restarted.

Electronic Stability Control problem #10

While driving suspension system allows car to bounce badly, as if all shocks are not working, ltz model has mag ride active suspension. This problem is found to be common on 2015 Tahoe and suburbans. Many forums on web have reports of this system failure at low milage. My Tahoe was purchased new and has only 71k miles, no collisions or accidents. All maintained ce performed as needed.

Electronic Stability Control problem #11

Vehicle randomly loses steering control and flashes warning lights. At times, xm radio will not play. At one time, vehicle shut off and would not resart for approximately 10 seconds. Occasionally, the warning lights flash when making an adjustment like changing to bright lights or activating the turn signal. Left turn signal disengages cruise when activated. Gm has updated the software twice due to service over the above complaints. Fixes problem for short amount of time.

Electronic Stability Control problem #12

On several occasions my care has given me a warning of stability rack issues and it will then just shut down. This has happened in the middle of turning into parking lots as well as backing into parking spots. I then have to roll down and up my driver side and passenger side windows before I can restart my vehicle.

Electronic Stability Control problem #13

Im driving the car and randomly stops like died all the power and brakes, lights and radio go off and I have to park then the car wont start after few minutes.

Electronic Stability Control problem #14

2015 Chevrolet Tahoe was parked on moderately sloped driveway. Engine was not running. Vehicle transmission shifter was in "park" position. Vehicle spontaneously rolled back several feet, and crashed into another parked vehicle. Other vehicle also owned by me. Substantial damage to both vehicles. Not influenced by driver. After some research it is my belief the apparent problem with the transmission/software. I did find where there was a recall #14192 for this issue.

Electronic Stability Control problem #15

Multiple issues effecting this vehicle, and the issues occur when stabilitrac issue and abs issue pops up on screen. A/c also stops blowing cold air, and speedometer reads zero while moving. The stabilitrac and abs issues first occurred multiple times starting in the early warranty period. The main concern is the power assist malfunctioning causing total loss of steering control. When power assist re-engages, the vehicle will jump in the direction the steering wheel is turned. This is a major safety issue. I repeat that these issues started to occur during the early warranty period in 2015. The dealer could not duplicate the issues. There are multiple posts on line concerning the problems with the 2015 Tahoe, some actually causing accidents.

Electronic Stability Control problem #16

On January 14th, 2018 I was driving from tulare, CA to my home in pixley, CA. Half way home driving on hwy 99 I experienced that my rpms would go down and my vehicle would slow down every so often. On dash screen I had a pop up that read, service stability control don't know what that means. Sometimes not being able to slow down (full control) I made it to pixley. Stopped at my sisters house, when leaving I was backing up and while backing up I noticed a mail box stand with 2 mailboxes on a steal stand. I did not have control on stopping the vehicle. I did some damage on the rear left hand side of my chevy Tahoe. I carefully drove the Tahoe to my home down the street, parked it and called chevy road side service. I also noticed that the break pedal moves side to side and the break lights stay on when in park. Luckily nothing happened to my family and I on our way home. Obviously the vehicle is unsafe to drive.

Electronic Stability Control problem #17

Driving on the highway and city street it has happened at least 3 times in the last couple months, the park assit, stabillity track and last night the steering assist came on along with other lite lights brake, abs which I have recorded on my phone. At the moment its at the dealer, per service advisor they " had the truck on drove it and has happened of now to them, requested to keep another day to recheck tomorrow.

Electronic Stability Control problem #18

Our Tahoe has had an issue over the past 9 months. The engine unexpectedly stalls. This has happened twice while pulling out on to a busy highway. Very frightening. We first took this to the dealer on 8/15/17. They spent hours trying to diagnose and found nothing. The stalling continued to happen occasionally. Early December the stalling occurred while pulling in to our garage. We lost all power momentarily and it would not restart this time. I disconnected the negative battery cable and then reconnected it and everything worked fine again. We took it back to the dealer on 12/8/17. Iafter researching this more it seems numerous people are having the same issue. Traction control warning comes on when the stall occurs. This time I was more insistent that they fix this and explained my wife was scared to death to drive this. This time the dealer said that they have changed the negative battery cable on other customers vehicles and that has fixed the problem. My reaction was why didn't you tell us this last time and why isn't there a recall? so far this has fixed the problem. I contacted gm and they did not give me a straight answer on this proble. Basically they said we may have had a defective part.

Electronic Stability Control problem #19

Stabilitrak comes on and locks the steering while driving. It has happened approx. 4 times and the dealership doesn't know why, nor have they resolved the problem. Water keeps getting in the vehicle and the dealership can't figure out where it's coming from either. They have tried 6 times.

Electronic Stability Control problem #20

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. While driving 20 mph making a left turn, the front driver side tire seized and the stability track warning sensor illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the tie rod fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v246000 (steering). In addition, the interior lighting illuminated randomly, the parking assist sensor beeped for 15 minutes, and the rear camera activated independently. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and stated that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

Electronic Stability Control problem #21

1: while driving the car, the second interior row lights flash every 2 minutes, it 's really annoying for the night driving. 2. When I was trying to do a parallel parking, my steering wheel was locked up, this happened couple of times, and sometime, the sign of "stabilitrak off" showed on the front screen. I was also hit by the car behind me.

Electronic Stability Control problem #22

January 2016 I purchased a 2015 certified chevytahoe (VIN 1gnskbkc3fr273547) from kuni Chevrolet Cadillac located 2449 fulton Ave,sacramento, CA 95825. Six months later I begin experiencing major issues with the vehicle. Those issues includes the following: flickering of the head lights when using turning signals and or use of rolling up the car windows, the dash board completely powering off, the vehicle completely powering off, and the sterling wheel locking during any turns. Please note that all these issues takes place while driving the vehicle at any speed. I have taken my car in multiple times for the same issues however, autonation Chevrolet airport continues to state that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. There have been multiple near fatal car accidents due to the issues with this vehicle. While driving through a green light, making a left turn the steering wheel locked up causing the car to spin in the middle of the intersection as I slammed on the brakes to which I was stuck in the intersections for approximately five mins until the locked wheel would unlock thus allowing me to move. Another occasion took place while exiting off a high way ramp to which I slammed on breaks nearly causing other cars to rear end my vehicle. I have provided autonation Chevrolet airport with video proof of the unsafe issues I am experiencing. I have taken the time to express in great detail to both the general manger younes bougrine (cell phone number 407-760-7841), at autonation Chevrolet airport and the following senior advisors at the GMC/Chevrolet customer assistance cooperate office rae, jerrell, evette, and denise (phone number: 1-866-790-5700 extension number: 5921054). There have been multiple case numbers issued to address my concerns and the safety of this vehicle (8-2669001127, 8-2829940218, and 8-2818180905). I am seeking to get out of this unsafe vehicle.

Electronic Stability Control problem #23

The alerts are deafening with no way to them down or off. Very painful to ear. They come on for every little thing. The chime volume is all the way down but they are louder than any car I rent or have ever driven.

Electronic Stability Control problem #24

My wife and myself purchased a new Chevrolet Tahoe ltz in 2015. The first month the a/c had to be replaced, rac and pinion steering and rear shocks. The warranty covered the cost. 2016 of January the a/c started making noises and not cooilng, the front struts magnetic, ball joints and steering rack pinion went out. Third occurrence was in 2017 December the front magnetic structs again. We have had problems with this new vehicle from the time we purchased it. The suspension is horrible and we later found out there are hundreds of others with the identitcal horrible suspension problem. This vehicle is presently at 62k mile and needs front end suspension replacement. The warranty do not cover pass three years. There should be a recall on this horrible general motors product. The vehicle is presently inoperable because of suspension problems and gm will not stand behind there product.
