1 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2019

The air conditioner stopped working late in 2019. It started getting cold out so we didn't need it at the time. Covid 19 hit and I didn't drive the car for weeks on end. So didn't need ac. When we did have to use it the ac was blowing hot air. There was an extended warranty for 5 years 60k miles that we did not know about. We never received information on it. We have been to the dealer many times for other service related stuff over the years and no one ever mentioned or even checked to see if the ac unit was not working. We contacted the dealer to fix it under this warranty sometime in may or June of 2020 and was told no that this extended warranty ended in Feb 16, 2020. Contacted gm and asked the same thing. Good faith help would have been real nice. We are a few months over the 5 years, but well under the 60k miles. Is there anything we can do to get this covered under this warranty or get a recall on it. I have seen many many many people complain about the same thing as I. The car is a little over 5 years old. The ac unit shouldn't have failed so soon. Now I have to pay well of 1000 to fix it out of my pocket. I know not a safety issue, except heat exhaustion. . . . . Please do a recall on it, please!.

3 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 05/03/2019

First off, my dome lights. They flicker on and off every time I hit my breaks or every time I turn my left blinker on. Secondly, my air conditioner! I live in a very hot and humid state. I have already fixed the a/c in my Tahoe once at the beginning of the summer. Now I am having the exact same issue as I was then.

4 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 07/16/2018

While driving on the interstate, the air conditioner stopped cooling and started blowing hot air. The interior lights started flashing like a strobe light. I have scheduled an appointment with the service department where the vehicle was purchased. The current mileage is 44,790.

5 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 06/08/2018

The air conditioning condenser needs replaced on a 3 year old vehicle. It will cost me $1,000 and this is a known gm problem. I just had to replace the struts on it and that was over $1,300.

6 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 04/17/2018

Air conditioner stopped working at 45,000 miles on 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The dealership recharged the a/c unit and refilled the freon. I paid $200 and after 3 days the air conditioner stopped working again. I have to take it back for a second repair. This should be a recall the hvac should not stop working after 45,000 miles.

7 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 03/20/2018

I have purchased this car with certified warranty. While driving the vehicle, the rudder became rigid; the crane took him to the dealer, there they changed a computer, that was March 20. Then March 27 return with air conditioning problems, today he continues in the workshop.

8 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 03/13/2018

I been having my truck for 2 years and brakes keep going out and the air condition keeps going out. I have two friends the same vehicle with the same problems. This is ridiculous I see no recalls on that. And I've seen on the reviews of this vehicle and its not just me there's people out there with the same problem that I am having. This could cause a really bad accident the brakes keep going out I am not the only one with this problem. Please take in consideration that everyone has families. And accidents could cause us to lose our family just for a simple brakes that have not been recalled. And also, we just cannot keep affording to fix the air conditioning this truck is not even old enough to be giving us these problem. Thank you.

9 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 05/18/2017

Air conditioner has been messing up for a long time now. I bought it new and it's been a recurring issue. It finally stopped working completely. Of course I'm right past my warranty. It's been in the shop for five days now. They called today and said it's fixed. We got in and boom, still not working.

10 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 05/17/2017

I was informed that the air condenser is a faulty part and is not working on my vehicle. Also, gm has knowledge of this issue, for it is a known issue with Chevrolet Tahoe. The part to fix this problem is on back order, and there are no parts in production, for they have not come up with a remedy to replace the faulty part. Therefore, I do not have air conditioning within my vehicle. Thus, causing a safety issue, for it is 90 degrees where I live, and I have infant twins that are transported with my vehicle.

11 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 03/22/2017

Purchased 2015 chevy Tahoe ltz new, 3 years ago. Air conditioning not working and told it needs a condenser. Part is on back order with no delivery date available due to the high number of 2015 Tahoes that are waiting for this part. Went online to see if anyone else is having this problem with the same make/model/year and the number is astonishing. This was a brand new model and first year offered from chevy so there is obviously a manufacturing issue. Car warranty is expired and was told part would be over $2000!.

12 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2017

Air conditioning does not work with only 37000 miles and interior lights flash every time I touch the brake pedal or turn signal.

13 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2015

January 15, 2015 not even two weeks after purchasing my vehicle I got in it after work and noticed I couldn't manage the climate controllers (heating/air conditioning/speed/air flow) nothing in the front or back. I immediately called the dealership and sent in a picture. All the knobs and controllers for just the climate were dark, no lighting as if the vehicle was off. I drove it home and since it was so cold out it was thought maybe it just needed to warm up more. I drove 45 minutes home and the climate controllers never turned on again until the next morning. Took it to the dealership because I was also having other issues and they stated they couldn't find anything wrong. Everything has been fine with the climate controllers from that point on until this weekend. On March 21, 2015 I drove to pick up breakfast, everything was fine. An hour later after we piled in the vehicle and were driving I went to kick the air on as it was getting warm and noticed the controllers were not responding again. I pulled over into a parking lot and recorded my actions so the dealership can't say they need to "see it. " I turned the vehicle off, tried turning the lights on and off, remote starting, everything but disconnecting the battery. Nothing. The rest of the day while we bounced from store to store with had no air. March 22nd, it was back on as normal. Today March 23rd after work it was not operational again. Something needs to be done, the last post I had on this site was when I had a 2014 GMC acadia and my son over heated from a very similar situation. This is beyond ridiculous that I have yet another gm made vehicle and there is a major issue with a brand new vehicle. Gm needs to be held responsible, not having heat or air conditioning in a family vehicle is extremely dangerous for anyone who depends on travel with that vehicle.
