My transmission just randomly went out. I had my car evaluated in December of 2025 and nothing was reported on the transmission at all and as Jan 2026 my transmission went out.
The audio system changes radio stations on its on. It also attaches or disconnects bluetooth devices on its on. This has affected the video player and it no longer works.
Vacuum pump and vacuum pump belt replacement. Experiencing increased brake pedal effort, hard brake pedal, and increased stopping distance. Confirmed by an auto shop and mechanic that this is the issue. There was special coverage given by general motors to this vehicle to address this issue that expired in November (but I did not know that this existed). The vehicle has not yet hit 150,000 miles. Request to have my Tahoe special coverage warranty extended to address this issue.
Trailer brake system alert pop up a lot. With no reason.
The radio, the vehicle will just completely shut down, and stop in the middle of driving. The vehicle has been to repair person, who can't seem to find out what is happening. I have not taken it to a chevy dealership this time, nothing has been inspected by police or insurance. No crash has happened, yet!!!!!! just before the engine would cut off, the stabilitrack would light up, but that is because of no steering during the time the engine shut down. It take the vehicle about 3 seconds to 1 minute for the vehicle reset and restart. This is very dangerous because I could get into an accident. The mechanic I took my SUV to couldn't find a code to repair the issue. There is definitely something wrong with my SUV.
Paint is failing on hood and on roof towards windshield. Cannot be brought back by detail. Paint in gray and black is known to fail. My car is gray.
Transmission had to replaced 2/2023 with 140,810 miles.
While driving home from corner store, power steering locked up with very little play left or right. My vehicle is undrivable and parked at this time until I figure out what to do. I understand that gm issued a recall for such safety issues in 2018. I just brought my vehicle a year or so ago. Please advise, thanks.
The rear powerlift gate randomly closes while getting groceries bags out of the back of the car it can automatically close on a person a seriously injure them it as almost closed on us several time but we were able to get away quickly if a younger child or teen is using this is dangerous in the cold weather is seams to worsen the symptoms this is a very serious safety issue that needs to be addressed it has happened on numerous occasions seems to happen more in cold temperatures. I have taken it to deanship to report numerous times but they don't see an issue it doesn't happen for them but it has happened to numerous people.
My 2015 Tahoe ltz keeps displaying a " trailer service brake system" the vehicle has also cut off while driving and the radio screen and windows lock up unable to control. The vehicle will also not turn on until something about rolling the driver side window down and up to allow functionality. The battery has been replaced and have had the truck carefully electronically examined with not direct apparent faults. I'm told the wire harness between the body control modules is defective and or engineered of low quality with poor connections and wires. This is a critical unsafe hazard that needs immediate attention before someone gets hurt.
Anda manejando cuando empezó a salir mucho humo por el tablero y la troca ya no respodia no podia ya aselerar y el volante se puso duro me sali DE la carretera marqué al sitio DE emergencia por ayuda pero la Tahoe se quemo muy rápido.
Service trailer brake system alarm constantly going off causing a distraction to the point the Tahoe is unsafe to drive.
Keep getting a message saying trailer system issue. Has occurred over the past few years but recently has shown up more than once about every day. I don’t have a picture at this time but please help with resolving this issue it is very annoying.
Power steering assist, abs and skid control failed all at once during travel. Also emergency brake light lit up along with these other warnings. Hard to steer. The vehicle has not yet been inspected. Scheduling that now. All dash warning lights lit up along with warning messages just as the failures occurred. Upon restarting the vehicle the failures reset to normal operation. Note: the vehicle had been running and idling in very hot temps ~101.
The hood paint and roof paint are fading much faster then the rest of the car. I have seen this on alot of 2015 black Tahoes. The dealer has confirmed this on black 2015 Tahoes. It is available for inspection when requested.
Have to researching online it is a very very common issue with the 2015 Tahoes and up. The radio/display screen constantly starts going haywire and scanning through stations changing stations as well as the screen on my gauge cluster which is going to end up causing an accident constantly trying to stop it from scanning and changing stations. It's like the whole screen has a mind of its own.
On several occasions the following warnings will pop up. Service stabilitrack, tighen gas cap, service trailer brake system, automatic collision prep unvailable, and the check engine light will come on. Then the dashboard lights will flicker on/off, the montior will turn black, the doors will unlock and lock. It has happened when I am going 70 mph down the freeway. And on several occassions the car engine will turn off/stall as I am either pulling into an intersection, parking spot or coming to a stop. I will take it to the shop and have the check engine code scanned/turned off and it will be fine for a week and then start again.
Trailer brake service message constantly dinging and you can’t dismiss the message. Dealership replaced a fuse and thought they fixed it and by the next day the message was back and dinging non stop. It is so distracting it’s almost unsafe to drive. Can’t see my speed or anything on my dash because the message will not go away and the dinging noise is unbearable.
Service light saying: “service trailer breaking system” it’s happening randomly and driving me nuts.
Truck doesn't want to brake have to put both feet on pedal. Almost hit a car in the drop off line this morning at school. When braking it skips a beat and I have to press hard to try to stop it. It scared me because there's no warning lights, it just happened out of nowhere and was afraid to have an accident home very scary. No it has not been inspected by anyone yet. Yes its available for inspection anytime as I wont be driving till I figure out the problem to avoid a serious accident.
Problem with air condenser leaking from poorly manufactured part.
2015 Chevrolet Tahoe: the battery indicator goes below the midpoint, then there are different alerts on the dashboard, I. E. Stabilitrak, brake assist, battery/power saver, park assist, etc. The a/c all of sudden blows hard with a display blink off, the steering wheel also gets hard to steer and then the vehicle cuts off on its own. The vehicle cutting off has happened mostly when we're trying to park and turning at slow speeds; however, it did happen once while we were stopped at a light and trying to turn into the turning lane and it shut off. The risk is a car accident causing bodily harm and/or property damage. I see recalls for the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe for this same issue, but unfortunately for whatever reason, my particular VIN was not included.
My a/c just stop work on my 2015 chevy Tahoe lt and found out that it was leaking from the top front right of my condenser there is no damage to the condenser due to gm defective part. It was a recall but I never received any notice.
My 2015 Tahoe ltz makes an extremely irritating rattling sound in the dash on the drivers side I can't figure out what it is.
The 2nd row dvd screen went black. I paid too much money and continuously drive GMC vehicles to deal with this problem I hardly use it an this has happened to lots of people. If your paying this much for a car, truck, etc it should be worth it not a piece of junk.
Since purchasing my vehicle in 2016 I have had multiple issues. I have always noticed a drip of oil in my garage that wasn't consistent and when telling my dealership about it they stated they would look into it and found nothing. I was driving down the road and the side door black fascia flew off, the dealership replaced 3 stating it was still under the 34k warranty. I had requested they replace/secure the 4th and was told it was fine and didn't need replacing. I returned for an oil change about 6 months later and reported the one that was not replaced is now loose and was told by the dealership I was out of my warranty period and would be charged an hour labor as well as parts, costing roughly $120. 00. I then had my ac go out in summer of 2019 and had that replaced supposedly a recall. When I took my car to the dealership for an oil change in fall 2019 I mentioned my car was not stopping properly while braking and they informed me there was a current recall that would fix the issue and that was performed. I was still noticing the braking issues. In Nov. 2019 I started to experience misfiring with the transmission and not shifting correctly. I made an appointment with the dealership and on the way to the dealership it worsened and I had to get it towed. I was informed I would not get a loaner car as all of theirs were out to people with parts required without an eta from gm. I was called 4 days later as I had not heard back and was told my car needed a replacement transmission as well as a new vacuum pump as this had failed and is the reason for the hard braking. The transmission was replaced and I was told to pick up my vehicle because the vacuum pump is on back-order without an eta and "I still have my abs that will assist with stopping".
My vehicle randomly shuts off while driving, backing up, snd parking. When this happens all power is lost and unable to have caution lights on and turn back on for at least an hour. Dealership is unable to duplicate but when I drive the vehicle home it shuts off.
Alarm will go out sometimes.
The a/c compressor failed from a melted clutch. I took my Tahoe in for a alignment and the a/c was working fine 2 days later I had to take the Tahoe back to the dealer because the alignment felt off. The dealership checked the alignment and didn't find anything wrong with it. I picked up the car and noticed the a/c was no longer working. I took the Tahoe to another dealership to have it looked at because the previous dealership assured me they didn't cause the issue even though it happened right after I picked up the Tahoe, and the a/c was working when I brought the Tahoe into the first dealer ship to have the alignment checked again. Our Tahoe only has 50k miles and this issues should not be happening. I have read online and there has been many a/c issues with these model year Tahoe and gm even issues and extended warranty on certain issues with a/c, but there have been many complaints similar to mine and gm has yet to address them.
The ac condensor went out. I've researched and found hundreds of other 2015 Tahoe owners with the same problem. Gm knows they have a faulty condensor but refuses to do anything about it.
I initially noticed difficulty with braking while backing out of a parking space at a very low rate of speed. The brake pedal became hard and the vehicle continued to roll backward, with full weight on the brake pedal. Approximately one month later I was in bumper-to-bumper, stop-and-go traffic and the brake pedal again hard and the vehicle continued to roll forward. This issue did not occur during normal driving conditions, only at low rates of speed and with frequent, repetive stopping. I took the vehicle to a local Chevrolet service department and they were unable to replicate the issue or identify the problem with diagnostic equipment. I was told by the service manager the problem was likely due to over use of the brakes and the brake is designed to be pumped rather than compressed for more than a few seconds. I took the vehehicle to a second Chevrolet dealership. The service department replaced the brake booster vacuum pump and this seems have resolved the issue. I was unable to drive my vehicle for approximately 2 months due to fear the brakes would fail. The vehicle has 54,000 miles and was purchased new from a dealership.
Having issues with braking. Occasionally at high speeds, but more often during lower speeds. The brake pedal becomes very hard to depress and meanwhile the vehicle is still moving, not allowing you to stop. Happens also going in reverse. Had a collision, hit the rear end of another vehicle yesterday morning during rush hour, 3/18/2019. I was slowing down to 15 mph, due to a red light, but brake pedal would not brake, becoming very stiff, making it impossible to brake, and stopped due to the collision. Luckily no one was hurt. Front body severe damage to my Tahoe. Police report has been filed. We bought this Tahoe in fall of 2017, and February 2017, took into the dealership due to the braking issues, nothing was found or done to the brake system. Tahoe is back at dealership as of today, and nothing has been found, according to chevy techs.
At low speeds my brake pedal would get extremely hard to push down causing the car to be difficult to stop. After turning off the vehicle and turning it back on it seemed fine. A few weeks went by with no issues and then it returned when backing out of my driveway. Turned the vehicle off and on and it seemed to be working fine. Another 3 days passes and then brake pedal gets hard and can barely stop the car causing a close collision. The service brake assist light comes on and the brakes are extremely difficult to push to make the car stop. Drove the vehicle home carefully due to needing to step on the brakes extremely hard. Replaced the brake booster and still not working. Replaced the vacuum pump and line to fix the issue. This caused many close calls as the first time I was backing into a parking spot and almost hit the wall. The other times I was driving through a drive through almost hit the car in front of me and driving through a neighborhood towing and almost hit the car in front of me at the stop sign.
2015 Chevrolet Tahoe was parked on moderately sloped driveway. Engine was not running. Vehicle transmission shifter was in "park" position. Vehicle spontaneously rolled back several feet, and crashed into another parked vehicle. Other vehicle also owned by me. Substantial damage to both vehicles. Not influenced by driver. After some research it is my belief the apparent problem with the transmission/software. I did find where there was a recall #14192 for this issue.
Failure of a/c system with less than 60,000 mi. I didn't use the warranty because it happened during winter. I thought it just needed a recharge but it still doesn't work. Seems like a compressor. Pretty unsafe in the summer and I have read of lots of failures and repairs with the same defective parts.
