The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the stabili-trak, abs and traction control warning lights remained illuminated, and the vehicle would not immediately stop while depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the abs module and abs pump were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000.
Tl- the contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the vehicle can not be released to him due to no remedy for a recall. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 19v761000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes), however the parts for the recall remedy was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time to repair the vehicle. The vehicle is currently at ray Chevrolet 39 n us-12, fox lake, IL 60020 (847) 587-3300 where the contact was confirmed the parts were not available. Tahoe has been in the shop 9 times in one year, "service 4wd", "slow to 3mph to shift to 4wd low" and "service stabilink". Vehicle has tried to pull to the right while driving at highway speed, almost causing loss of control. GMC has replace several shorts in electrical system ( while never finding cause).
As I was driving the error light came on stating there was a camera malfunction. This is a safety camera/system on the front of the truck, which controls the stability control, speed, braking system, electronic bind spot detection, etc.
