1 Accelerator Stuck problem of the 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 06/13/2015

This happened twice in the last week. While accelerating the gas pedal has gotten stuck and the vehicle increases with speed. In a panic I shifted the transmission into neutral; the engine kept reeving. As I continued to attempt to un-stick the gas pedal I noticed it was all the way down to the floor. After about 20 seconds it finally un-stuck when I stomped on it several times. This happened first on a public street and last while entering the highway.

2 Accelerator Stuck problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 04/12/2011

I have two problems to report first my gas pedal sticks to floor if I turn my floor mat upside down when my shoes are dirty gas pedal catches and sticks to floor under acceleration very scary and unsafe. Second problem is my dash cracked above my passenger air bag and I am afraid if it deploys the broken dash will come off with air bag and hit passenger in face causing injury or worse. I have read online of many other same year and vehicle with the same problems and would apriciate you looking into these before someone is injured thank you.

4 Accelerator Stuck problem of the 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 03/19/2003

2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, only 51,000 miles and accelerator sticks which is very dangerous. Had it repaired today at dehaven Chevrolet. They had a service bulletin on it and repaired it at a cost of $193. 59, but truthfully $139. 95 directly related. I feel this problem should not happen so soon in a vehicles life, and is so safety related, that Chevrolet should repair under a recall, or at their expense. I've never had a stuck accelerator problem and I am glad the kids, and my wife mentioned it. It did stick on once or twice. I had fixed within 2 days.
