While in motion seat belt would come undone or wouldn't unlock from lock in order to use. Brakes would slip. My boyfriend was killed in an accident because the seat belt malfunctioned which then caused the airbags to malfunction and the brakes stuck so he wasn't able to slow down sufficiently.

While parked, the driver's female seat belt buckle end (part #19121538) frequently does not latch. It usually takes multiple attempts to latch. I visited a dealer on 11/5/20, to see what they would do. They contacted gm, who refused to make any remedy, stating it was out of warranty, even though this is a significant safety issue. Vehicle has never been in an accident and there are no visible signs of damage to the buckle end. It is progressively getting worse to latch. Also. The parking brake fails to properly secure the vehicle, even when pushed to the floor. Probably a poor design, even when adjusted properly.

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. While the vehicle was stationary and while driving various speeds, the front driver's side seat belt severely cut into the contact's body. The seat belt became significantly worn to the point of a potential fracture with the seat belt webbing. Furthermore, the contact stated that the trimming on the front driver and passenger sides became detached from the vehicle's exterior. The trimming created a whistling noise and blew in the wind while driving various speeds. The contact rolled down the driver's window and had to hold the exterior trimming to the body of the vehicle to keep it from detaching from the vehicle completely and striking other motorists. Jupiter Chevrolet (11611 I-635, garland, texas 75041, (972) 271-9900) was made aware of the failure and took the vehicle in for service. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall on the seat belt or the driver's and passenger's side trimming failure. The manufacturer provided the contact with case number: 8-484-580-7149. The failure mileage was 72,000.
Thursday, April 12, 2018. Heading to work one morning on the interstate, the girl in front of me put on breaks (we were in the fast lane), so I put on my breaks. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the driver behind me not paying attention and going 50-55 mph. I had enough time to brace myself before he hit me from behind which made me hit the person in front of me (I have video and pictures). Fortunately, my Tahoe held up pretty good and didn't crumble with the type of impact it had. My concern is my airbags did deploy but actually didnt. The smoke came out from the airbags through the dash and my airbag sensor light came on my alerts on the dash. If I wouldn't have prepared and braced myself then my face would have gone in the steering wheel. I didn't see a recall but is there a reason they didn't come out? also, I was able to drive away from the scene to take the Tahoe to body shop but the seat belt was locked in it's place and could not rebuckle (I was buckled during the crash).

My drivers seat belt will only latch once in a while. It does not matter if it is running or not nor does it matter weather it is moving or not.

While in motion, 6 yr old in booster seat, seat belted in 3rd row rear seat, drivers side complained to operator that his seat belt was choking him. Operator stopped vehicle, went to child and tried to unlatch belt. The unlatch button would not depress, operator was unable to create any slack in the upper belt, the belt was so tight the child was nearly passed out, operator had to cut the belt to release child.

The seatbelts in the second row do not retract properly and twist easily in the housing causing the seatbelt to not retract at all. The issue was first noticed on the passenger side when my son started sitting in a booster seat. The seat belt would not retract after taking seatbelt off. The seatbelt would have to me manually pushed into the housing in order to pull it out again to wear. One day he put his seatbelt on and it twisted in the housing and got stuck. I changed his seat to the drivers side. The seatbelt on that side also had the same retracting issue and now it also twisted in the housing making it inoperable. I contacted Chevrolet and they said they could not do anything to help me due to the age of my vehicle and that I needed to call a dealer. I contacted a dealer and was told I would have to pay to have the seatbelt problem diagnosed and that I would be responsible for the repair costs. This is a seatbelt that is not working properly, it has never been used improperly or damaged by me. A seat belt should safely work for the life of the vehicle not just the warranty period.
My airbag light continue to stay on the dealership said I needed to replace seatbelts switch and airbag switch costs $550. 00 2hours labor I'd really want to know where can I have this resolved within my budget and not be taken just for the dollar bill and or the booking. I know it's just the connector regardless $550. 00 bit redundant.
After buckling the safety belt on the drivers side , my wife and I tug on the latch several times to make sure it is engaged. While driving the seatbelt latch will become disengaged by its self. This has happened on many occasions and seams to increase in frequency while driving on a bumpy road. I called the 800-630-2438 for chevy recalls but the man in the philippians did not act like he was interested in what I had to say. He did give me a case number of 8-2177870626. I did tell him that I would be filing a safety report. I would guess the manufacture used cheep plastic parts where a sturdy metal part should have been used. With this latch opening while driving then how is it going to protect the occupants during an accident?.
"takata recall" airbag light is on. My 07 chevy Tahoe burns 1 quart of oil every 1000-1500 miles? dealer told me this is "normal"?????? it is not normal for any vehicle to burn this much oil in such little time!! chevy won't correct these problems! there are thousands of people with same troubles. Yet still no recall?????.
On Thursday may 19th at 8:35 pm, while I was driving home on I-696w when my driver¿s seatbelt belt disengaged and retracted on its own. While driving, I immediately try to reconnect the belt into the buckle, but it would not go in. I made several attempts to reconnect. I finally was able to get it into the buckle. When I arrived home in my garage and preceded to get out, the seatbelt would not come out. I had to struggle and pull on the seatbelt several times while trying to push the buckle release button. After 10 minutes, I was free. The next morning (5/20/16) while going to work, the seatbelt came out again. It would go in and if I moved forward, the belt would disengage. My seatbelt continued to slip out of the buckle. As of may 23rd, my seatbelt will not even go into the buckle. I cannot engage the driver's seatbelt at all!! these seatbelts should not be defective and should last the vehicle life.
On March 17,2015 I left my home driving my vehice with the seat belt on I got to my destination and when I tried to fastened my seat belt , I had to drive back home unbuckle, I went to the dealership to get it this safety concern checked, they came back and told me that the drivers seat belt latch was stuck in closed position, they never said it was due to wear and tear, they said they had to replace it, they did and charge me for it. I file a claim with Chevrolet and 4 days later they came back saying that they were not responsible for the seat belt issue that it was wear and tear, I mentioned to them that my truck is only 5 years old, they said thay had to go back and see how the previous owner treated the truck and also that I purchase a used vehicle. I disagree with every single word they said. I think Chevrolet is responsible for the safety accessories they install on every single vehicle. I thank god nothing happened to me while I drove without a seat belt. I don't know how many cars out there have had this same issue.

The dash has cracked in several places. What is alarming is there are cracks around the passenger airbag and if it ever deploys I'm afraid there will be exploding pieces of the dash going everywhere. The passenger seat belt gets tight and will not release until fully retracted.

The middle seatbelt in the middle row of my 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe gets caught under the plastic piece attached to the back of the bench that the seatbelt feeds through. The seatbelt when stretched out slides between the slit in the plastic. It gets stuck under the plastic and becomes loose and limp rendering the seatbelt useless.
Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that when they put the front driver seat at its highest point the seat belt anchor pressed down on their leg and caused bruising. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the seat would need to be lowered in order for the seat belt to work properly. The seat belt was not designed to work when the seat is raised that high and the contact felt the seat belt should still work even though when the seat is sit to its highest position. The seat belt anchor is connected to the seat and not the frame of the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact filed a complaint with the manufacturer and then was told by the manufacturer that there is no extension made for the seat belt. Rl.

I have a 2005 chevy Tahoe, which recently I have been having many problems,I was wonderi if there any recall notices for this vehicle,,,service air bag light is on,,,abs light is on,,,,seat belts on middle section does not work correctly,it gets stuck many times,,,,steering sometimes gets stiff,. .
Driver's seat belt does not lock into the receptive device. 2nd row seat belt "tore" when pulled to fasten. Electrical issue causing speaker and microphone to become inaudible therefore preventing communication with onstar in the event of a crash, nor alerting driver of vehicle standard safety alerts (low gas, open door indicator, tire pressure indicator, etc. ).
As soon as we drove our used 2008 Tahoe off the dealer lot we had a tail light out that they claim was just a light bulb blown but it still continues to turn off and on by itself. We've had to replace the drivers seat belt because it wouldn't retract all the way. The dash cracked almost all the way from end to end and it is garaged unless we are out driving around so there should be no reason for it to crack. The driver side chrome door handle is peeling and has cut our hands. We've had to have the alternator replaced right after we bought it as well. This whole truck is a lemon! the truck is currently in the dealership because it wouldn't start and kept throwing a code "service security theft system. " haven't heard from them saying what is exactly wrong with it now.
Passenger seat belt light indicator reads passenger is not buckled when seat belt is buckled. Indicator stays on, warning beep is constant.
Driver seat belt not locking.
