Side/rear Glass problems of the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Two problems related to side/rear glass have been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Side/rear Glass problem

Failure Date: 06/14/2005

Rear window blew out while consumer was removing her children from the rear seat. This happened at about 7:30 pm in the evening. Temperature said about 92 degrees. The plastic cover over the third brake light, located on top and inside of the back window, cracked. The whole housing. The window supports, were the shock stile. They were pulling and window broke. Vehicle was serviced regularly at dealer.

2 Side/rear Glass problem

Failure Date: 06/28/2003

Consumer stated that without warning the hatchback exploded. Dealer notified. Vehicle was parked in the driveway. Consumer believed it was a design flaw. The arms to open the window forced the glass outward up to 10 feet. If the glass goes, the arms are forced to open like two catapults. Dealer refused to acknowledge the problem and correct it under warranty.
