Two problems related to other fuel system fuel gauge have been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Fuel sensor has gone out. The failure was not caused by anything done by the consumer. My fuel gauge constantly reads empty and is no accurate. I talked with the dealership, and even though other vehicles with the same equipment have had recalls issued, they have not issued one for the Trailblazer. I know several people who have the exact same problems with their Trailblazers (2003 - 2006 models) and it costs approximately $800 to get it fixed at the dealership.
Fuel gauge on 2003 chevy Trailblazer does not work. This is a safety hazard. Vehicles running out of fuel can be a safety hazard with people walking on highways to get gas and people getting stranded.
