Takata recall yes I was smelling fuel coming from the inside of the cab of my vehicle every morning well starting it up and it would remain so I looked into it and it was on a recall but they told me that the recall had expired and there's nothing they could do about it I don't think something as serious as this should have a limit on it because of the gas fumes constantly entering the vehicle I'd sometimes get dizzy and lightheaded causing me to pull over to leave the vehicle so I can get fresh air not mentioning always afraid of something sparking and possibly catching the truck on fire I have taken the truck to the dealer and they tell me like I said the recall has expired I am reaching out to you to help me get this corrected hope to hear from you very soon thank you for taking this time to read my complaint my name tracy o'brien live in palmdale California I cannot provide pictures because I do not know where it is coming from.

Failure Date: 09/17/2015

On August 26, 2015 we purchased a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer from wali's auto sales in enola, PA. It had 93,907 miles on it and appeared to be in good condition with a clean car fax. We traded in our 1996 Chevrolet suburban and received $1700 in trade in value purchasing the Trailblazer for $5722. 70 including tax and transfer fees. Brakes and ball joints had been replaced prior to our purchase along with a transmission line. We took the vehicle for an alignment as soon as we purchased it. We drove the vehicle approximately 200 miles and then on September 17th left home with intentions of driving the vehicle to stowe vermont. At 11:30 am on the morning of September 17th (approximately 2 hours into our trip) the vehicle lost power and brakes close to scranton, PA. The engine caught fire and within 7 minutes the vehicle burned up. The VIN number was not readable. The scranton fire department responded along with pennsylvania state police and the forty fort police. We have a copy of the fire report. The vehicle was towed by a local tow company. My wife and I escaped injury. We had liability insurance through state farm which covered towing and fire company expenses. Wali's gave us a 30 day warranty on the vehicle and has acknowledged since the incident that there is a warranty on the vehicle but is not forthcoming in allowing us to submit a claim to their insurance company.

Failure Date: 04/23/2015

I have filed a prior complaint and the number is #10695487. I contacted general motors and have never been treated so terrible in my life. The person on the phone told me to either take it to a dealer ( with no help from gm to check it) or get over it and hung up. I am still having the fuel leaking and with no help from gm I will not be able to fix it. I would like to have it fixed because in my mind it is a defect on gm part and they do not want to own up to it. Please help with this issue.

16 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/12/2014

Put vehilcle in park and stayed in drive. Shut vehicle off and put on park however still in drive and now will not start. Since I work on vehicles I looked at transmission linkage and found cable came off transmission linkage. Plastic clip broken. Looked on line and found transmission shifter cable repair clip for $14. 99. Since it was special order I went to dealer and was told there is no repair kit and that they have plenty of shifter cables in stock $75. 00 went ahead and ordered aftermarket part special order 2 days and today 3 days later was told out of stock and none available til December. Coincidence or is this a common problem? I'm afraid someone will not know or realize vehicle still in drive when shifter moves to park and not moving shifter linkage at transmission.

22 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2013

I noticed that there was a gas odor coming from the bottom of my SUV, and when I checked I found that there was a gas leak in the gas line that goes from the gas filter to the engine, and I also found out that two of those lines were stuck to each other. The one that had the leak was touching the chassis, so that when it vibrated it collided constantly with it. That's what caused the leak.

The vehcle has avery strong smell of gasoline inside and out and is also starting hard.

24 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2013

Just like so many of the other people who have filed complaints. My truck to has a very strong gas smell. I have been told to replace the cap. I have been told to replace the fuel line or filter. Nothing works. It is puzzling to me that Chevrolet is aware of this problem but has not sent out a recall notice to have the problem fixed. This is a very dangerous situation in which I drive my family around and my youngest daughter likes to ride in the very back (third role seating). It is scary to think what could happen. Chevrolet needs to fix the problem or a class action lawsuit needs to be started. Simple as that.

25 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2012

Driving to work less than a mile from home, engine sputtered slightly and noticed a smell of gasoline. When stopped, gasoline was dripping onto the ground right below the driver's side door. Took vehicle home and parked it.

26 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/18/2012

My 2003 chevy Trailblazer check engine light comes on accompanied by the low engnie power light. The vehicle goes into limp mode. This is a safety feature that allows the computer to protect the engine from any damage should something go wrong. The only problem is that there is nothing wrong. This happens multiple times a day (6-8). Changing sensors doesn't fix it. I believe it to be a problem with the 2003 chevy Trailblazer computer. I have read many forums with hundreds of people that have this same problem. Please look into it before it causes an accident or makes an emergency situation a fatal one.
