Three problems related to visibility have been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Was previously contacted by an "[xxx]" from washington, DC to retrieve the power window module that had caught fire. I was going to turn the part over to NHTSA. I am in DC at the us postal service hq on mon/wed/th. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Side mirrors continue to adjust when not told to. Every time I get in the car the outside mirrors are moving erractily causing severe inconvience and basically making the mirros unusable unless I want to adjust them every time I enter the car.
Side mirrors do not stay in position memorized for driver. Very unsafe when you go to change lanes and the mirrors are pointing to the sky or ground. The dealer has reprogrammed the remotes, but there is no solution. Driver must adjust mirrors every time you turn on vehicle. The problem is much worse if there is a temperature change. This problem has been going on for 5. 5 years with this vehicle. Other drivers report the same issue with Trailblazer. Why is there no recall for this? why hasn't Chevrolet found out how to fix this?.
