18 problems related to wiper have been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The abs light has come on and then it would work sometimes and not other times. Now it never works. Now that its winter I'm sliding at stop signs that aren't even that slippery. The actuators in the heating and cooling are not working properly. All summer I had heat blowing all the time and suddenly there would be nothing. Now it's cold air all the time. Makes my windows fog up and not defrost. I have done the reset procedure and hear things moving but it doesn't fix it. The blower in the ball seat and third row is hit or miss for even working at all.
My wife was driving the SUV at highway speed when the front windshield wipers ceased to function during a heavy thunderstorm. She had to pull over because her visibility was obstructed to the point of not being able to operate the vehicle safely.
Got into vehicle as it was parked. It had rained that day so after I turned the vehicle on, I turned the windshield wipers on by rotating the switch backwards towards me and releasing. Typically this will cause the wipers to turn on, complete one swipe up and down and then turn off. On this day, the wipers stayed on low speed. I tried turning the switch on and off and turning the vehicle off and on. After numerous attempts, I pulled the fuse. Two days later, I put the fuse back in. The wipers remain off unless I turn them on, then they will stay on and the cycle repeats. I noticed gm issued a recall (# 41051) that describes the problem I am experiencing. I called gm and was informed that my VIN was not involved with the recall 41051. I then did a google search and found multiple instances where vehicle owners experienced the same issues I experienced with the same make model and year of my vehicle and they were also told that their VIN did not qualify for recall 41051. I asked why my VIN did not qualify for recall 41051 and the representative was unable to provide that information. I also would like to note that recall 41051 states there are 581394 potential affected vehicles and the vehicle affected is the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, no other years are listed. According to my research, gm sold only 261334 Trailblazers in 2003. I want to know why my vehicle is experiencing the same problem as recalled vehicles but does not qualify for recall 41051. Something isn't adding up here.
Tl-the contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the low beam headlights failed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 215,000. Djr.
Upon starting the vehicle the windshield wipers started operating while the switch was in the off position. The wipers could not be shut off after numerous attempts of turning the switch to off and on positions. Upon contacting Chevrolet recall number and referencing NHTSA recall number 04v046000, I was told that my vehicle was not covered under this recall. Confusion comes in that the vehicle recall specifies 2003 chevy Trailblazer and makes no reference to specifics about VIN number that Chevrolet makes the statement that vehicle is not covered for recall. Just does not pass the eye or smell test for common sense!!!!!.

Vehicles wiper motor does not turn off. This causes a distraction while driving. The only way to stop it is to pull over to the side of the road and pull the fuse. Dealer stated there was a recall for 2003 chevy Trailblazers for the same problem but not for my vehicle because it didn't have the proper VIN number. Recall # 41051. Gm customer service member told me to notify NHTSA.

I have a 2003 chevy Trailblazer lt. The wipers would not shut off after an afternoon shower. I had to pull the fuse in order for them to shut off. I have contacted the manufacture. They have refused to acknowledge that there is a recall for my vehicle. They are stating that there is no such recall for my VIN number. They also stated that there is no such recall for a 2003 Trailblazer. My wish is that the NHTSA would force chevy to acknowledge and fix the problem, or at least acknowledge the problem and say that they are not going to fix the problem. The idea that this is limited to some 2003 lts, but not others is rather odd to me. For the manf. To say that no such recall exist is rather odd to me. I do not know the exact purpose or legal reach of the NHTSA. I would hope that they could/will force some sort of resolution for the large number of people that have had this same complaint, and the manf. Blantent refusal to acknowledge said issue.

The problem that I have with my truck is an electric problem involving the light relays, which I ad to replace several times due to them being damaged, leaving me without lights. My main concern is that I drive at night often and I am in danger when I have the lights on and off. I did research on several forums where same-vehicle-owners have experienced the same issues.
The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 mph with the windshield wipers on, he attempted to turn them off. The manufacturer was notified and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number 04v046000 (visibility:windshield wiper/washer). Windshield wipers would not turn off, even though there was a recall for this problem on 2003 Trailblazers for the same problem, dealer said my VIN number didn't match a recall. Needed car for work so it cost $425. 00 to fix problem. I was told it was a control module.
2003 trail blazer windshield wipers do not stop even when shut off.
I turned my windshield wipers on in my car and they would not shut off. Well, when I got to my location I shut off the car in which they reset themselves or something, it happened a couple of times till today. I turned them on and now they won't shut off no matter what I do. I read online that there have been recalls about this same problem, so I called Chevrolet, and supposedly it doesn't cover my vehicle I am having the same problem as the recalls. My windshield wipers won't shut off. I just can't believe that the same problems that I have with my 2003 chevy Trailblazer and the recall is the same and they are telling me that my vehicle is not included.
