Eight problems related to alternator/generator/regulator have been reported for the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
At a red light and attempted to close the driver's side electric window. When I pressed the buttom to raise the window the window stopped raising to a closed position and heard a loud noise similar to glass crumbling inside driver door. Is the regulator covered under a recall. I previously had the driver's door master power window switch module replaced due to a recall. I have always had problems with the driver's side window mechanism always slowing down and stopping midway during cold temperatures.
Drivers door window regulator want out. This vehicle has a recall #12180 for door switch replacement which fluid can enter drivers door and can cause shorts.
Pushed to put passenger window down and would not go up, stuck open. Evidently the window regulator broke at a part cost of about 300. 00. Just had in for a blower problem where the blower came on while the car was just sitting in the garage with no keys or anyone in it. That was 400. 00 some dollars. This car does not seem like it should be having these problems.
I don't have exact date I bought my vehicle it is just an estimate. But issue has happened twice now. Also don't have VIN with me but can get it if needed. I bought my vehicle about 2 years ago. When I bought it the passenger window regulator went out. Lamb's Chevrolet in onida, sd replaced it. Now a few months ago the passenger regulator went out again. They told me well they only have a 1 year warranty on them. Warranty or not it should have not gone out within a couple of years. I am fighting with them on paying for it. Is there any other complaints or recalls on window regulators with the chevy Trailblazers? I shouldn't have to be replacing this every couple of years. Also they have one excuse after another why it could have gone out while all in all they probably put in a defective or refurbished one which dealer these days are famous for and charging customers full price.
I bought my 2007 Trailblazer in September 2012. I was so excited, but a few days after purchase the driver door window regulator stopped working. I contacted chevy and they told me there were no open recalls on this yet and are continuing to tell me this. They wanted over $500 to fix the issue for me. When I looked I noticed that there are recalls on this item, but still chevy keeps telling me there is no open recall. I am scared after reading other complaints that this could lead to a possible fire.
I was driving home from work and started smelling burned wires - then smoke started pouring out of all creases in my driver side door. I pulled over and had a drink with me and dumped the whole thing into the door to get it to stop. Fire dept came and told me not to drive the vehicle and had it towed to the dealership. The dealership determined in was a faulty driver door window regulator and it had a hole burned through it. . Read more...
Every couple months the alternator goes out I am almost to the limit on my warranty returns. The first time it went out it wasn't charging then several times after that it went out was over charging and in doing so damaged my battery so I had to pay to replace it also. I have had nothing but problems with this car and is becoming a money pit.
I have had several problems with my window regulators, I had the switch and electrical replaced on the driver side door and I am having a problem with the window not working again. Also, now the window regulator is broken on the passenger side door. At the same time I am also having an issue with the electrical, I can tell that in combination with the window problems the lighting on the dashboard where the light is dimmed on one side. Overall, the windows are a huge safety concern with the fact they won't roll up or down depending on the issue and I'm concerned with the fire concern because it does it appear when the dealership fixed the driver side window there appeared to be melting of something that could have been burnt.
