The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. While the contact was driving 10 mph he attempted to pass the vehicle in front of him reaching 40 to 50 mph and noticed that the accelerator pedal had become stuck to the floor and the brakes would not stop the vehicle. After several attempts at slowing the vehicle by using both the brakes and the hand brake, the consumer activated the emergency lights, switched the transmission into neutral and continued to use both the brakes and hand brake, bringing the vehicle to a stop. After stopping the vehicle and turning off the engine, the consumer had to physically pull the accelerator pedal off the floor with his hand. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer and they replaced the throttle body. The current and failure mileages were 48730. Updated 3/8/10
