I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding ongoing issues with my vehicle, which I purchased new on [xxx]. Despite repeated efforts to address these concerns with authorized dealers, I have been unable to achieve a resolution. My vehicle currently has 13,630 miles and remains under warranty. However, I feel my concerns are not being taken seriously, and the vehicle's persistent issues are being overlooked or dismissed. Background of the issue: for over a month, I have been reporting significant electrical problems and other malfunctions with my vehicle. Each authorized dealer I approached assured me that nothing was wrong. To verify these claims, I sought a third-party diagnostic evaluation, which revealed two specific error codes—clear evidence of underlying issues. Details of dealer appointments: appointment: November 25-26, 2024 I entrusted my vehicle to [dealer name], where it was kept for two days. Despite this, no diagnostic efforts or repairs were conducted, as confirmed by the service advisor, erica jones. Frustrated by the lack of action, I retrieved my vehicle on November 26, 2024. Second appointment: December 2, 2024: I scheduled another appointment with the same dealer and dropped off my vehicle on December 1, 2024. To my dismay, the paperwork I received at the conclusion of this visit contained several discrepancies: the entry date was listed as November 25, 2024, with a promised completion date of December 2, 2024. This is incorrect, as I had my vehicle from November 26 to December 1, 2024. The mileage recorded at drop-off was less than the actual mileage on the vehicle at that time. The report stated that only one mile was driven during the diagnostic process, which is insufficient for evaluating my concerns thoroughly. Issues reported: I have consistently reported the following problems with my vehicle: seatbelt malfunction: the seatbelts fail to secure me during sudden braking situations, etc. . . Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foi.

I was driving down the road and it was raining pretty hard. I hit a pothole that was not visible and my airbags, only on the sides, deployed.
Lucky to be alive. On 4 14 2019 while driving 65mph on 101 freeway in thousand oaks California, a pickup truck veered into my lane. When I moved over to avoid the pickup both side airbags went off with a bang filling car with powdery cloud. My left ear popped from the loud bang but I was able to get off on the shoulder. Called 911 and CA highway patrol came out and did a report. Both officers had never seen anything like it. There was no impact to the car and the chp took multiple pictures of the exterior. Milage on the car at time of accident was 117,873 . Chp cutaway the airbags and my father came out and drove it home and then to auto shop to evaluate. Seat belt also stopped working now that airbags deployed. Really terrifying experience.
I have had my SUV since 2011 have had no problems with it until about Feb. 25,2019. I had my brakes replaced ftont and back along with the rotors. A week after that I was driving on the highway come up to a red light was slowing down and when I got to 10 mph it started to paulsate and wasn't for sure if I was going to stop completely. I finally did. I took it back to my mechanic he checked the abs to see if the wheels were spinning at the same speed and they were. When I go down my driveway whick is a hill I'm not for sure if it's going to fully stop or go on out in the road, we are on a blind curve and it's rather scaring. Also I have a problem with the stablility and track light coming on and staying on, I just restart my SUV again for it to go off. It's both of the lights on the track and stablitity. My driver side seat belt is frilly on one side and getting thinner.

I was driving on a city street when my side air bags deployed on both sides.
2006 chevy Trailblazer spun out on snow while my daughter was driving. It went towards the left then immediately jerked around to the right and continued to gain speed as it launched us off the roadway and into a group of trees. The brake pedal wouldn't budge, the steering wheel continued to turn in circles not controlling the tires at all. The backseat broke apart before impact and was throwing my teenage son around in the back. The front seats broke loose as well and slammed both driver and passenger into the dash during impact. The seatbelts did not engage to lock into place like they are supposed to and despite full frontal damage and a SUV deemed totalled/destroyed by my insurance company, not a single airbag deployed or attempted to deploy. We were all trapped inside the vehicle down an embankment and all sustained injuries in the crash including cuts, bruises, whiplash, and my daughter had a concussion. My daughter had a vp shunt placed in her brain last year and could've easily died in this crash due to her injuries. Something needs to be done about these airbags and seatbelts not working!!.

I filed a complaint on 5/1/2017 tracking number 10981579 cannot find a reply on your site. I took my SUV to dealer had it checked out it said that the selt belt pretensioners need to be replaced that they connect to airbags. We have not been in a accident so it would sem there is a problem with their belts. Chevorlet gm still say that I have to pay for repairs since there isn't ant waranty on SUV. But it is a safety issue due to malfuction with their belts . To have happened to two seatbelts it has to be in my opinion. And I do not want someone to get hurt because their seat belt can not unlock and they are trapped in their car.
I went to store vehicle was in park. When I went to unlocked my seat belt it would not unlock. I tried several times and my husband also tried. The belt would not loose up so that I could pull over my head to get out it just got tighter. Anyway we came back home and one of my neighbors tried to get me out. He had to undo bolt to belt and cut wire. To get me out. I do not know what caused this problem. The same thing happened to my husband seat belt last year and he has to pull over head to get in and out. I am a handicap person and worried about this happening to someone else and someone getting hurt.
I had my cruise set on 55 mph and was hit head on by vw jetta pulling out toward my vehicle, then forced to left into a telephone pole. Airbags didn't deploy, and received broken sternum. Don't know if seatbelt injured me, or if the seatbelt didn't lock on 2nd impact and possibly hit the steering wheel.

1. My drivers side window and door lock is shorted out and wont operate at all. While driving causing the window to remain down during a rain storm and impeding my visibility. I see they have recalls on other years for this exact same problem. 2. My seat belt cathes really tight and wont release casusing me pain. 3. My headlights regular beams keep coming loose and blowing out. Ive had to fix this three times and I have only owned the vehicle for a week. Twice during driving at night once I am not sure when it blew. 4. The front suspension is having problems and I believe may be a recall issue. It makes loud noise like its cracking or breaking, while driving.
#1. On 2 occasions last week, my Trailblazer suddenly lost most of its power, and the engine light reduced engine power came on! I pulled over, cut the car off, then restarted it, and was able to drive home. #2. The seat belts on the front passenger and rear right sides lock up tightly the moment you buckle up. It locks up so tightly that you cannot move if you wanted. These problems showed while driving on miami streets. #3. On 2 or 3 occasions a strong smell of gasoline came into the car while driving. The smell seemed to be coming from inside the back of the car, but I was unable to locate any gasoline back there. On another occasion, I smelled gas outside in the area of gas tank.
My truck was involved in a accident and my air bags did not deploy and my charging system goes in and out my 4wd comes on by itself and I have to turn it off while driving.
On a exit ramp (concrete) going about 30 mph when both side air bags unexpectedly deployed, brake pedal went all the way to the floor, no braking, pumping the brake corrected them and stopped the car. Brakes now seem normal. Both front seat belts are now locked. The car has no damage on the body or tires. G m has opened a case for us. Waiting their call back.

While I was driving down the road, both curtain side air bags deployed at same time. There were no other cars on the road, so I was able to stop the vehicle without causing an accident. The airbag on the driver side pushed me over so hard that it broke my center console. My lower back still hurts, but I am hoping the pain will go away. My left ear is still ringing and has not returned to normal hearing yet caused from the exploding noise from the airbag deployment. Both of the front seat belts will not work and the dashboard has so many lights going off, I don't know if there are any other problems. The dealership that I purchased the vehicle from said the damages could run as much as $4000. 00 which I do not have and my insurance doesn't cover this since there was no accident that caused this. The dealership service dept. Also said they have never heard of any vehicles doing this. After research, I see that this has happened alot.

My son was driving the 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer lt when the following event occurred: while traveling at approx 35 mph on a straight, smooth city street the side curtain airbags deployed on my 2008 chevy Trailblazer lt along with both front seat belts tightening and locking in place. There were no sudden abrupt maneuvers, no contact with any other objects . . . Nothing!!!! it appears that this is a common problem with nothing being done about it . . . Why???!!!.
After reading of the new gm recall involving seat belt wear, I inspected mine and the front drivers belt is fraying along the edge quite noticeably.

My 2007 chevy Trailblazer driver's side seat belt will not latch in cold weather. Gm will not replace the seat belt latch and wants to charge me $225. 00. This is a mandatory safety device that should be warrantied for the life of the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph, the driver became distracted and crashed into a tree. The air bags failed to deploy and the seat belt failed to restrain, causing the driver to be thrown forward. The driver's head impacted the windshield and as a result, he sustained bleeding from the brain. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The 2nd row center seat belt retract has locked into place the seat belt is fully reeled in and will not unlock. I researched this for the last 24 hours and come to find out hundreds of people are having the same issue with the middle seat in 2nd row not just the front passenger of chevy Trailblazers 2002-2004 that was recalled previously. Either way this is a massive safety issue! seat belts are meant to last 30+ year before they even show any kind of wear and tear, not 11 years. Please issue the recall so we can safely strap our children into the back seat and not have to worry if the seat belt is going to maintain its function or not. Our children's lives are at stake here.
The contact owns 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the passenger side safety belt failed to operate on numerous occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 157,000.
When the steering is turned too far the car automatically and very suddenly shuts off, no matter where we are. Seatbelts in the last row of the vehicle dont lock so, our car seats just slide due to never ending seat belt. Engine and oil light come on when car is started and will stay on for days as result of gas cap being not screwed on properly. Delayed turning reaction with steering wheel, horn got stuck and would not stop sounding so it had to be disabled.
Steering wheel malfunctions, car turns off when wheel is extended too far to the left. Seatbelts for last row of seats dont lock, radio is stuck, buttons dont control radio properly.
While driving straight at approximately 40 mph the side airbags deployed for no reason. As a result the seat belts no long function appropriately.
Since I've owned this vehicle "new", I've replaced the drive lights three times for burned cables also, the passenger side seatbelts locks while in motion. My local dealer informed me that, that was typical of the passenger safety device. . . . . As a passenger, once you set down and put the seatbelt on, it locks, holding you too tight, and virtually choking the passenger!! all other seatbelts works fine. And still functions the same to this day.
