3 Suspension problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 03/17/2022

Brakes failed for no apparent reason around 8:00 am that morning. My friend and I was driving to my home in his 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer after many stops that morning. We was on the interstate doing 65 mph. I noticed the traffic ahead approaching and I said "cars" indicating to my friend to slow down. He said "I have no brakes!" we narrowly missed the first cars and while readjusting we came into contact with the driver side of three vehicles rolling us on our side! I broke both my arms escaping thankfully with my life. We had no idea what suddenly and unexpectedly lost brakes. Weeks afterwards I started reading about the stabilitrac and steering sensor on the 1 of many Chevrolet vehicle defect issues. Around that year and I believe was the problem. I have been out of work and tried to explain this to people with no reply. I read an article about Chevrolet told about the issue and refused a recall. Senator blumenthal requested an investigation but I haven't seen anything after a judge requested a Chevrolet ceo deposed. If this vehicle has these dangerous problems please know that it almost killed my friend and I. Https://gmauthority. 11 Suspension problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 06/15/2015

Driving I-85 north bound on the morning on 6/15/2015 headed to work when the rear passenger tire blew out causing my 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer to cross over into another lane then back into the lane I was in, spin uncontrollable, all of a sudden the steering wheel started spinning and then the vehicle just shut down, steering wheel locks, the car comes to a stop and slams into a guard rail where I am facing south bound traffic, none of my air bags deploy, I have a neck and back injury that to this day I am still being treated for and my passenger who was a coworker riding to work with me that morning also had a back injury. My vehicle was deemed a total loss by insurance company could not be repaired, lost time from work, still have medical bills, occurring, although I have full coverage insurance but because it was a one vehicle accident there is nothing that can be done about loss wages. Just had these tires put on my truck about 6 months ago, heard about people passing these bad tires on as new tires , don't know if this is the case or not. Don't know why air bags did not deploy, don't know why steering wheel spin then locked up, thank god it was not worse! state trooper said it could have been worse from the way I landed.

18 Suspension problem of the 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 11/01/2011

Vehicles stabilitrac light comes on constantly. Repair listed for code is not the problem. Had same issue with my 2006 Trailblazer. Light comes on sporadically, even when backing out of my driveway at low rate of speed.

19 Suspension problem of the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 10/09/2011

I was driving home from work and started hearing the trucks undercarriage start to rattle and grind on the bumps of the road. I had a sudden loss of power on engine and it wouldnt respond to my pressing on the gas. I believed that I had gas in the truck because the gauge read half full and apparently I was out of gas. So I proceeded to pull into a gas station and as soon as we filled up, the truck would not start! I saw that my check engine light was on and had to ask for a jumpstart to get it started again. At another time and date again the truck went dead, I asked for a jumpstart and the vehicle would not respond. I now had to buy a new battery because the car damaged the original battery and now with the new battery installed my car starts but will not stay on without me pressing on the gas while in park gear. I believe something may be defective with the electrical gauges, fuel delivery system, and suspension.

Failure Date: 09/14/2010

Traction control and repair lights keep coming on.

21 Suspension problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 08/18/2010

At 45,000 miles I have had to have the tierods replaced and there is still something wrong with the passenger side wheel assembly, but they can't seem to figure out what the squeak is. It could be a bearing I have been told, but they don't know without tearing it all down. 2nd is the power window on the drivers side is getting slower to come up and I can smell wires burning at times (although I am not sure if the 2 are related) I have also had to replace the "idler pulley" at 42,000 miles. . . . . This seems ridiculous as it keeps turning out to be one thing after another?????.

22 Suspension problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 08/03/2009

24 Suspension problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 08/05/2007

Two tires failed within a week with similar circumstances. The first tire failure was less dramatic than the second due to the fact that it occurred at night when temperatures were cooler and vehicle stops were more frequent. The second failure was catastrophic. The sidewalls completely separated from the tread on a very busy highway. After the first tire failure I had the tires aligned, balanced and pressure checked by a gm technician. The service manager at the gm dealer clearly told me that the two remaining tires were in good shape and had several thousand miles on them before I had to worry about changing them. Four days later the tire failed completely. After the incident I called back to the gm dealer to verify their process for tire alignment. They informed me that the tires were indeed verified to be at 35psi, the factory recommended level. I retained the failed tire for future use. The tires were continental conti-trac p245/65/r17 with a dot number of hw8t bl5 0305. A similar report has been filed with the NHTSA.
