1 Wiper problem of the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 05/21/2025

On 5 separate occasions the windshield wipers have stopped working while in use. The wipers returned to the home position and would not turn back on. Each time I had to get safely to the side of the road and stop shut the car off while travelling at highway speeds. After 10-15 minutes the wipers began working until the next incident. My safety as well as others on the road I was travelling were put at risk as I was not able to see out of the front windshield. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than me. This is the fifth time this condition has presented itself and there were no warning lamps, messages, or symptoms prior to each occurrence.

Visibility with the inability to clear the windshield was at a minimum or not possible. Required pulling over, could have easily caused collision with no forward vision. Vehicle is currently at a dealership for evaluation. Previously brought into dealership, “no problem found” reported by the dealership mechanics. Three separate occurrences of this issue. No other warnings or lights associated.

5 Wiper problem of the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 11/20/2022

Front wipers spray only on one side, the working side changes, sometimes it only squirts on one side, sometimes it sprays over top the roof of the car, sometimes it doesn't work at all. Reservoir is full, rear window spray nozzles always work properly. I'm unable to wash away debris, in winter with snowy roads it can leave salty/muddy windows. Sap from the trees & pollen create poor visibility. No warning lights are on, never have been. This happened without incident.

6 Wiper problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Happening since 2020 random at first now permentant removal of fuse switch in order to shut off lights and the fuse switch is hot to the touch upon removal.

7 Wiper problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 05/22/2021

Several months ago, I was at a fast food drive up window. I had my drivers side window down while paying for my food and receiving my food. It was down pouring and the inside of my door got pretty wet. I wiped off the rain as best as I could but everything was soaked. The very next day the drivers side door controls started to go haywire. The window button stopped working and my door locks only worked occasionally until they stopped working all together. My side mirrors can no longer be adjusted from the drivers seat. I have to get out of the vehicle and manually adjust both driver and passenger side mirrors. I'm not sure if there is a short in the wiring from the rain or just what is going on. I asked a parts dealer to see how much it would cost to replace the drivers side door controls module and he was of no help except to say its a recall part because of moisture. I've looked this up and I see there was a recall but my VIN isn't on the recall list. I don't understand why my vehicle is excluded considering this appears to be exactly what this incident generated the recall in the first place. I further looked into the investigation you had on the Trailblazer's outside of the salt belt states having the same issues with the moisture and issues that arise from the damaged door controls. I'm not sure if I would be considered in the expanded recall but I'm certain I should be as this is exactly why my drivers side door controls failed. I feel this is a huge safety issue as I don't know if there is a electrical/wiring short and not being able to adjust the side mirrors is an impairment. There was no warning to let me know anything was wrong. The system just went out just that fast. Please advise me how to proceed with my next steps to get this resolved. Also, my low beams went completely out the other day and replacing the bulbs didn't fix that issue. I do have a recall scheduled for January to get the headlights fixed and I'd like them to fix both issues. Thank you.

The abs light has come on and then it would work sometimes and not other times. Now it never works. Now that its winter I'm sliding at stop signs that aren't even that slippery. The actuators in the heating and cooling are not working properly. All summer I had heat blowing all the time and suddenly there would be nothing. Now it's cold air all the time. Makes my windows fog up and not defrost. I have done the reset procedure and hear things moving but it doesn't fix it. The blower in the ball seat and third row is hit or miss for even working at all.

28 Wiper problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 08/24/2016

My wife and I bought a used 2006 chevy trail blazer. After two months the windshield wipers would turn on even though the switch was off. The windshield wiper fluid pump would turn on and spray fluid on the windshield which greatly reduced visibility. After a week I took the vehicle to my local garage. They replaced the multi-function switch. This didn't fix the issue, so they replaced the wiper assembly. This fixed the issue for about three weeks and now I am going to have to take my vehicle back and have the assembly replaced again. This happens at random traveling down the roadway at random speeds. This issue needs to be addressed before someone is killed. Not after a reported death!.
