Driving at night my headlights quit working. Like dozens of other complaints to nhsta, I contacted general motors but this VIN was not covered on nhsta id 14v7550, gm recall 14291. The repair cost $80 but gm has refused to honor my request for reimbursement. When is nhsta going to do it's job and force gm to expand the number of vins that should have been included. I am sure there are proabaly hundreds if not thousands of other owners like me. The loss of headlights at night is a very dangerous problem and should receive muich quicker action from the nhsta on the vins to be included.

My 2006 Trailblazer windshield wipers come on when starting my vehicle, and won't turn off! and will spray the wiper fluid out as well, until it's completely gone.
Started the Trailblazer and headlights would not come on. . Tried automatic and manual. We turn the Trailblazer off and on a couple times and finally got it to come on maunual. One week later was coming home on a 4 lane and my healights just went off. Luckey I was able to get off road and turn flashers on. Turn Trailblazer on and off, the headlights on and off but they didnt come on . Turn automatic lights off and turn high beams on that is how I had to drive home. I tested my lowbeams on and off coming home. The would go in and out.
My wife was driving the SUV at highway speed when the front windshield wipers ceased to function during a heavy thunderstorm. She had to pull over because her visibility was obstructed to the point of not being able to operate the vehicle safely.

As soon as I turn on my car, the windshield wipers will turn on as well, even though they aren't switched on. They will continue to stay on for the majority of the drive. I have tried to switch from the on and off position and it will sometimes help, but has gotten to the point where that has no affect either. So, it continues to scrape across my windshield ruining it with the dry wiping that its doing. I need this resolved ASAP! I had a mechanic replace the motor (the part that controls the wipers and the turning signal) for $300 and that had no affect! I notice there is a recall on earlier models but not on the later ones but have seen several complaints on the later models as well. This needs to be taken care of soon!!.

During high speeds (interstate/long-distance driving) there is a vibrating noise on my windshield. This started years ago; at first I thought the noise was my antenna. I checked it to make sure it was secure and it was, so I dismissed the noise. I don't do a lot of long-distance or interstate driving, so it was a while before I heard the noise again. Ever since I have dismissed it as wind noise at high speeds. During my internet research of a recent mechanical problem, I came across information for improper windshield mounting and lift gate glass mounting on other gm vehicles. Although I did not find recall information for my make/model/year, I am filing this report because of windshield noise and potential windshield and lift gate glass failure on my vehicle. Now that I know about this possible defect, I will try to avoid interstate driving or try to drive 60 mph or below. I recently had to travel for a funeral 5 hours away but rented a vehicle instead of driving my own. In the report date, I have inserted the date of the last interstate travel that was made in my vehicle.

The driver's door master power window switch module got hot & started smoking. Removing and looking at it showed that it caught on fire. It looks like it started somewhere on the circuit board. It seems identical to the problem listed on the 2006 chevy Trailblazers. (NHTSA campaign number: 15v599000) it happened in 2015. I've just been holding onto the part because I didn't know what to do with it & the local dealer wasn't any help.
The windshield wipers and wiper pump (water) went off continuously (on their own) and would not stop. The water sprayer kept squirting water and the wipers kept going non stop. Nothing we did would make it stop. Finally had to disconnect the wiper control module, just to make the wipers and water streaming stop. I could not see anything-very dangerous.

I have a 2006 Trailblazer and the windshield wipers will come on and spray wiper fluid when it gets ready while the switch is turned off. I use to be able to turn the switch on and back off and they would go off but now that is not working and they will stay on even though the switch is off. No wiper fluid is spraying out but it would if it was not empty because it sprays all the time. This is causing marks on the windshield from dry wiping and I am tired of going down the road with my wipers on and it is not raining. There was a recall on the 2002 model but this is happening on later models and the recall needs to be made so consumers can get their truck fixed.
When you crank the vehicle the wipers come on and stay on until you turn the vehicle off. It also puts out the windshield wiper fluid empties out all washer fluid and the motor still runs. Motor never stops running for the wipers. Will eventually burn out.
Got into vehicle as it was parked. It had rained that day so after I turned the vehicle on, I turned the windshield wipers on by rotating the switch backwards towards me and releasing. Typically this will cause the wipers to turn on, complete one swipe up and down and then turn off. On this day, the wipers stayed on low speed. I tried turning the switch on and off and turning the vehicle off and on. After numerous attempts, I pulled the fuse. Two days later, I put the fuse back in. The wipers remain off unless I turn them on, then they will stay on and the cycle repeats. I noticed gm issued a recall (# 41051) that describes the problem I am experiencing. I called gm and was informed that my VIN was not involved with the recall 41051. I then did a google search and found multiple instances where vehicle owners experienced the same issues I experienced with the same make model and year of my vehicle and they were also told that their VIN did not qualify for recall 41051. I asked why my VIN did not qualify for recall 41051 and the representative was unable to provide that information. I also would like to note that recall 41051 states there are 581394 potential affected vehicles and the vehicle affected is the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, no other years are listed. According to my research, gm sold only 261334 Trailblazers in 2003. I want to know why my vehicle is experiencing the same problem as recalled vehicles but does not qualify for recall 41051. Something isn't adding up here.
I just purchased this vehicle and was checking on recalls. I got a 877 # and tried calling but it wont go through. I just want to make sure these issues are resolved with recall so if you can let me know what I have to do I will do it. Gm recall np. 06102.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer 360. While the vehicle was stopped at a red light, the driver side window began to independently roll down without warning. Started raining, turned on wipers and washers started without being turned on and would not stop. Could not adjust speed of wipers nor turn off washers. Ran off side of road because wipers couldn't keep with up amount of washer fluid being sprayed on window. I couldn"t see. Washers wouldn't stop!! attempted to turn off wipers/washers to no avail. Turned off car and restarted engine with wipers turned off. Wipers still restarted when engine started even though they are turned off. Wipers/washers come on randomly without being turned on and run for indeterminate times before turning off. Without control, windshield washers start and stop randomly blinding the driver. Someone will be killed if this is not corrected. I almost was!.
This complaint involves the rear liftgate wiper not functioning. It first started by running slower and slower, then finally stopped functioning completely. I have replaced it twice now, and both times the wiper motor would function for a very brief time, the first time around it didn't last for 36 hours before ceasing to function again. I have been to numerous forums to research this problem, such as trailvoy. Com, and it is quite apparent to me that this is a widespread issue, with little hope of an easy repair. It appears the suspect part, the lgm, can't be ordered or replaced by the common man, and many of us do not have the financial resources to continually be taking the vehicles to the service bay of our local chevy, gm or Buick dealer. This is a safety issue for many reasons, but particularly for those of us who live in a rural environment of dirt/gravel roads as the draft at the rear of the vehicle always causes the lift glass to become soiled, reducing visibility to near zero at times, which makes for less safety when changing lanes, backing up and so on. Additionally, there has been no solution issued yet for the flickering headlight issue that a recall was issued for last year for these vehicles. This is becoming maddening, it has been far too long. Apparently none of the higher ups at gm live in regions where there is a substantial deer population. Thankfully I have yet to hit one. It would seem to me that this problem is given very little attention by gm.
