Body Control Module/bcm problems of the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while shifting into park(p), the “shift to park” warning light illuminated, even though the vehicle was already shifted to park(p). The contact stated that the gear selector was shifted back and forth several times before it was recognized that the vehicle was in park(p). During the failures, the warning light remained illuminated, causing the battery to drain and the following day the vehicle was unable to start. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
